I can’t figure out how to post pics here but I’m about to get a semi-auto RPD. I actually had a choice between a PPSH-41 (sadly in semi auto) this RPD and a few other guns. He had a modernized BAR called an HCAR chambered in .30-06 but he wants $4000 for it. Beautiful gun.
Yep...I still have my Rem 870 from the mid 80’s. Shoots nice, always did.
Yep, they do last. Bought mine in 1965. My FIL bought his in the late 1050s.
Correction 1950s. So much for touch typing skills.
I’m looking at that Henry 357/38 big boy as well. Sweet gun. Hopefully some markdowns this week.
BARs are one of my favorite guns to shoot full auto. I’ve had the opportunity to use one several times at the Albany, Oregon machine gun shoot. There is something that just feels right about a very heavy 30-06 chugging along when set on slow rate of fire. Much different than zipguns like MACs, MG42s or mini Uzis, although they are obviously also fun to shoot. Sadly, living in the Peoples Republic of Washington, we serfs are denied our right to own genuine miltia weapons such as these, not that I could afford the obscene buy in cost, thanks to the ‘86 ban on new transferables.
The waiting period is supposed to go away if you already own a registered gun.
Harris has been resisting.
Yeah, I know, but that message hasn’t made it to the dealers.
Hard to fault them. Their livelihood is on the line. We should do away with GCA 1968 altogether, legalized mail order sales, and prosecute any attempt to stop them as a violation of interstate commerce.
Buy two for that price. The 10-22 is an essential in my view. Mrs. L and I each have one. Make sure you buy a pile of the Ruger 25 round mags. They function flawlessly.
L
legalized should have been legalize
Yes it is, dang it! I paid (with shipping and FFL transfer) a cool hunnert buckadingdongs more when they first came out. Sweet little gun. You only get one mag with it, and extras are hard to come by although the Sig 938 mags are a perfect match and work fine for me. Extended mags STILL aren't available although they were supposed to be last month, and unless you have hands as small as mine, you'll want them.
Big 5 has the Henry rifles on sale, I have the Golden Boy 22 , still unfired
My son’s 870 Wingmaster was made in 1957, it is still totally reliable.
I think Rossi is made in Brazil now.
What’s the New Henry Sixteen inch ,
Large loop .357 repeater?
On My list!
It's a great little pistol. You won't be sorry.

Where can I find a .22 revolver?
