Pope Francis said the death of Cuba's revolutionary leader Fidel Castro was "sad news" and that he was grieving and praying for his repose. Francis expressed his condolences in a Spanish-language message to Fidel's brother, President Raul Castro on Saturday. The pope, who met Fidel Castro when he visited Cuba last year, said he had received the "sad news" and added: "I express to you my sentiments of grief."

In today's world, it should not have to “endure” anything that operates counter to it's principles. Just the fact of Francis’ being should bring fear to all Catholics for the sanctity of their church.

You have a point there. But most people attend and they are using the churches as bully pulpits to promote their leftist agendas in concert with the schools, drive by media, Hollywood, etc. We have to fight them everywhere we find them.

And that situation is applicable to nearly all “organized churches” in the world. They have devolved into businesses not unlike our governments. They are different in that they have all these trapping and rituals, but absent all of that, they are simple a collection of “God Businesses,” that look at their bottom line over anything else. Being a “good xxxxx,” is primarily predicated on how much you spend with them. And they are run by people who are not as “good” as you are telling you that depending on how much you drop into their collection plates, they can make you “better.” Organized religion is a narcotic for people who are either afraid of what they have done in their lives or they are stupid. I submit that you don’t need any of them to have a believe in God and live a good life. They are simply crutches.

I frequently have Masses said by various contemplative groups. Castro's name will be on the same form as Phyllis Schlafly. If Castro has gone straight to hell, well, God will use the Mass as he sees fit.

In the meantime, real Catholics will continue to leave the Church in droves. This is a dying religious community whose demise was hastened by political correctness, the whims of socialist leaders, the cover-up of illegal activities, decline of societal morals and willing acceptance of decadent immoral behaviors. To paraphase Reagan, I didn’t leave the Catholic church, the Catholic church left me!

Now, while I was already on my way to becoming a Conservative at the time, I sorta rolled my eyes at all the Miami Cubans and their anti-Castro invective. I was like "just get over it"...
His final gift to me, was curing me of my ignorance. Liberals like to romanticize what Castro did, only killing the "bad" people, but Castro was a monster, plain and simple. Of his 9 siblings, he lost 7, only he and his sister escaped. The others were raped and butchered. Regular middle class, working people..
Anyone who "mourns" this guys death, is either an idiot, or plain evil. Period.
