When I suggested yesterday that Kellyanne Conway was being less than loyal to Donald Trump by sharply criticizing Mitt Romney on the Sunday shows, some readers took issue, surmising that Trump himself had encouraged Conways attacks.
But todays Morning Joe reported as Breaking News that two sources at the top of the transition say that Trump is furious at Conway for her comments, notably her suggestion that Trump had betrayed his supporters by considering Romney for Secretary of State. The sources described Conway as having gone rogue. Scarborough read a response from Conway in which she called the comments sexist and claimed she could have any job she wants in the Trump administration.

I highly doubt she acted without Trump’s approval. In fact when she was asked point blank about this, she said she would not answer that.
None can hold a candle to John Bolton.
Forget the “neo” issue. Sec. State implements Prez policy.
I’ll need a public comment directly from Trump on this matter before I buy it. My guess is that Kellyanne was told (by Trump) to deliver a message. She did. End of story.
If Trump tells me I’m wrong, I will accept it.
Anyone who says anything negative about Trump, his supporters or Trump’s campaign is to be regarded as sorelosers and traitors, nothing more, nothing less.
I’m hoping the tactic here is to show how wide a range of candidates Trump considered before naming the only obvious choice, John Bolton.
Yes because they want their Globalist buddy Mitt Romney to spy for them in a Trump Administration.
My guess is that this has been orchestrated to highlight the Romney pick as an olive branch to the Republican establishment. Trump is now scheduled to meet Romney again. I would expect that Romney’s nomination will follow shortly.
This is all just blah blah blah until Trump says it’s true.
Fake news.
Morning Joe & the rest of the media were SO correct in their prognostications regarding Trump, his chances of winning the nomination and of beating Hilly (/sarc) .... I suspect they are as correct with this ‘speculation’ which is all it is if they’re using “unnamed sources”.
When Trump actually announces appointments, then I’ll deal with whether I like it or not. Even if I don’t like it, I’m willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt for now.
I don’t get Giuliani. Why do we think he is the right person for the job. Ok, I give you that he supported Trump. But so did I. SO why is Giuliani better than me. Prosecutor + Mayor? Not really the normal Secretary of State criteria.
If Trump tells me Im wrong, I will accept it.
yep...I'm at exactly the same place.
I wonder if this was an ops to ferret out a couple of people suspected of leaking to the media. Fake story, leakers busted.
Find it hard to believe Conway would go rogue after all she and Trump went through together in the heat of the campaign.
From what I have seen reading various comments over time over a potential Romney appointment, Kellyanne is correct.
People who voted for Trump, for the most part, would be furious at a Romney appointment.
They say Trump doesn’t want to be surrounded by yes men, so I’d say Kellyanne certainly isn’t being a yes man on this case. She is just stating how it is.
I highly doubt Trump is furious at her, I suspect that is fake news BS, Joe.
But on the off chance that he is, he should probably listen to her advice.
+1
FWIW, this one’s the better thread.
Many on THAT post were willing to believe the headline without question.
John Bolton is dead wrong for the job. He starts fights. Trump does not need the whole world against him from the start. Bolton is not a diplomat.
