If cancelling it would not mean that Iran does anything different from what it is now doing, what good is the “agreement”?

There is no question he can dump it. There are not even any paper chains on him. It is not a Senate ratified Treaty. It is just a personal agreement between one Barak Hussein Soetoro and an Iranian fellow who promptly repudiated it while demanding that the US must live up to it.

Even if it does, by some fickle twist of fate, end up deemed binding, Trump can still deal Iran a lot of grief, by reinstating sanctions citing their repeated violation of the deal.

He can probably just tear it up, for the same reason, Iran has ignored the terms of the deal at least 3 or 4 times I’ve heard about in news reports so far. This is nothing new, they’ve never kept any agreement they have ever made. Except their vow to their own people to destroy western civilization...or try...

So all Trump has to do is find solid evidence they have violated the deal, like the recent missile tests, and slap them with sanctions and maybe even an outright embargo. Bring their economy to its knees again and they will beg for another negotiation. But this time they’ll be dealing with a real negotiator...
