Hillary out of hiding: 'After a few weeks of taking selfies in the woods, I thought it would be a good idea to come out,' Clinton says at Capitol Hill event
Hillary Clinton came out of hiding on Thursday to pay tribute to a former colleague, retiring Sen. Harry Reid, on Capitol Hill.
'This is not exactly the speech at the Capitol I hoped to be giving after the election,' she said in remarks at the event. 'But after a few weeks of taking selfies in the woods, I thought it would be a good idea to come out.'
Clinton attended an unveiling of Reid's portrait in the Russell Senate Office this afternoon. Reid, Democrat's party leader in the Senate for the last 12 years, did not run for reelection this year.
'How are you all,' Clinton said as she walked by reporters awaiting her arrival.
Her campaign chairman John Podesta at her side, Clinton continued down the hallway and did not respond when DailyMail.com asked if she'd be returning to the Clinton Foundation.
On only a handful of occasions has Clinton come out in public since she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump a month ago today.
Her first remarks after the election were in Washington last month, and she presented a United Nations Children's Fund award to singer Katy Perry, a backer of hers, in New York.
Hikers have seen Clinton walking in the woods near her Chappaqua, New York, home and she was once spotted at a bookstore in Rhode Island. A few days after the election she was seen coming and going from a staff party at her headquarters.
She has not appeared on any television programs and had sent out tweets on only three occasions since the day of her concession speech.

I see on Drudge he has a headline about the beeotch complaining about ‘fake news’ and Congress must do something about it. So CNN, MSNBC, CBS, Washington Post, NY Times, et. al should all be censored? They were the biggest liars and fake news sources for her inevitable presidency.

She looks a lot better than the last time she ‘came out’. This time her hair and make up are done.
I was thinking the same thing.
Last time we saw her, she looked like death warmed over.
Her eyes were bloodshot, her hair was unkempt, and she had no makeup.
This time, it appears she has some makeup on.
I think she looks about right for a woman her age. I’m just commenting on the fact that the media isn’t bothering to “sell” an image any more. And you’re right, she looks like she took a little time to make herself look presentable. The last time, she looked like they had rolled her out of bed after an all-night bender.
They quit using their fuzzy lens now that she lost.
