You know, it just occurred to me that doing these thank you rallies keeps him connected to the people he will answer to as much as it keeps the people connected to him.
It makes him go back and repeat his promises. Once he is surrounded by the muckety-mucks, he needs to see his people again, face to face. It will keep him grounded.

I am enjoying this victory speech more than the others. Could be just my frame of mind tonight, but I don;t think so. He has a slightly different feel, more bounce or something.
