They'll never stop this. I guess it's just a fact of life. The left-wing mainstream media are obsessed with race. The very people who point their fingers endlessly at conservatives and call us racists see a racial angle to every thought, every action and every reaction that ever happens on Earth.
So no one should be surprised that the Washington Post decided to publish a story yesterday, claiming on the flimsiest of evidence, that Trump voters were motivated by nostalgia for the good old days in America, when there weren't all those durn minorities around.
You know that's not why you voted for Trump, and so do I, but don't bother trying Post writer Sarah Pulliam Bailey. She knows you spend your nights dreaming of putting on that white hood and sheet, and setting a cross on fire:

In the 50s, there were a lot more 2-parent black families. These was less crime in America. Blacks did not have to live in fear in their own communities. I believe the black literacy rate was much higher too.

The Great Society helped convert a significant segment of the population into a permanent underclass, but it did not directly affect previous policies of merit-based, sponsored, primarily Euro-centric immigration.
But, you’re right, the Great Society was a disaster—reparations in all but name, and very destructive.

When conservatives look at the great things in the past to make happen again, we think
* American leadership
* Technical & business innovation
* Each generation doing better than the previous
* Improving standard of living for ALL
* Desegregation & equality for ALL
When liberals consider what made the past great, they think
* Slavery
* Jim Crow laws
* Segregation
Things republicans got rid of and don’t want to bring back. Democrats seem to want to bring these “great” things back, just with different names (globalization, entitlements, identity politics, Obamacare/obamaphone/free stuff for voting D)
In my book, the important factors contributing to sociological decline, financial ruin, government fiscal policy bend over backwards to keep race out of the equation in determining benefits and such, but the starting goal was to affect as many people of color as possible, I’ll give you that.
However, the actual numbers for, say, SNAP in my particular county is about 20% on SNAP. We have a 1% black population.
I’m not saying race doesn’t matter. Much of the government’s programs try to bias toward blacks - HBCUs for examples and minority set-aside contracts, etc. But the really big, big spending/entitlement programs (Section 8, SNAP, SSI, SSDI, TANF, AFDC, and utility and phone assistance) are color blind. And I can tell you a hell of a lot of whites partake of that fruit. It is very plainly evident in my county, and this is what is breaking us as a nation.
Wonder if Rachel Maddow and all of the rest if the White Talking Heads would still whistle the White Racist Tune, if they were told that their jobs would all be given to blacks and other minorities, for the sake of diversity??? Chances are they would all show their true colors and raise the roof and condemn blacks and all minorities as racist for taking their jobs?
The destruction of the family and of our educational system. Gangs replace families and give young men a sense of belonging they don’t have at home. If you can’t read or write then you will become a criminal. Simple really.

I have a tour guide for Washington D.C. from 1910. On the rear cover is a full page ad for the Washington Post. The ad lists the advantages of reading and advertising with the paper. Prominently; and in bold type it proclaims, “Delivered to 75% of the white homes in Washington D.C.”
