A group called Teach, Organize, Resist has released a call to action asking for students and professors to use January 18th or #J18 to protest against Trump.
January 18, 2017, is a day to Teach, Organize, Resist. Poised between Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the presidential inauguration, J18 is an opportunity to affirm the role of critical thinking and academic knowledge in challenging Trumpism.
The group claims that they want to use higher education to resist against Trump. Teach, Organize, Resist has a long list of partners mostly from UCLA.

Time to end all federal aid to universities.
Past the time.
Arrogance, always the arrogance and not their words that bring them all down. Their words only help to let us know who they are. Universities are not places of learning anymore but just incubators for a leftist usurpation.
6 Days, just 6 more days. Then their houses of socialist cards are about to vaporize.
End federal funding, this will reduce the guaranteed pay these creeps get and they will have to rely on thier liberal parent donations for thier salaries
None of this is going to end on the 20th of January 20th. I just listened to Jehmu Greene, candidate for DNC Chair, on Fox & Friends call for building a resistance movement against the “Trump Kleptocracy.” and John L. Lewis saying that he would not recognize Trump as a legitimate President. This activity plus the endless drumbeat that “the Russians did it” and various investigations pushed by Rats plus the likes of McCain and Graham, show the plans of the uniparty to take Trump down. I hope Trump will use the Federal investigative agencies to dig out the criminal activities of these conspirators to take them down first.
Then it is time for us to fight back, let’s stop the whining and start the punching.
Walking off the job usually gets you fired if you dare show up again.
Civil War is not very far away.
And it will be waged in the cities.
F#&k tenure, fire them for cause. They have abandoned their posts, they are derelict. At a minimum dock their pay.
That's not critical thinking, that's sedition.
How about J18 as the day that we the taxpayers shut off water, sewer, electricity, and internet access to the universities?
End tenure. Remove employees who violate their employment contracts.
I am sick and tired of having my tax money used against me and my conservative Christian values. I pray to God our Congress wise-up and cut off money to all government funded liberal politicized institutions.
Indeed...this is the very definition of sedition. They are trying to disenfranchise the votes of 63 MILLION Americans, and it should NOT be tolerated.
Would be a good time to change the locks on their office doors.
Stop playing defense and push back. Ask them who is funding their astroturf. Ask them about Karl Marx. Ask them about Saul Alinsky. Ask them about Che and Castro. Ask them about antisemitism on campuses. Ask them about the genocide of Christians in the middle east. Ask them about (on and on)...
I’ve mentioned a few times that my cousin (professor at Rutgers) is going with many professor friends to the women’s march against Trump. She has been mentioning a lot about teaching “critical thinking” to her college students, which someone (one of our uncles) flat out asked her if that meant “my view is rights, your opposing view is wrong.” She responded something about how to detect fake news. Good times.
Not a smart move. The accreditors are watching more closely as they themselves are taking heat. Most require accountability requiring verified attendance and accountability for course outcomes. In addition, some states have a 90% atendance requirement for licensing purposes. If these professors aren’t holding class or are teaching material unrelated to learning objectives, they could be disciplined and/or fired for putting the institution at risk.
