McConnell declines federal investigation into voter fraud
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/5/17 | Kelly Cohen

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Sunday declined to say he would support a federal investigation — and thus the spending of taxpayer money — into President Trump's claims of massive voter fraud in the 2016 presidential election.

The Kentucky Republican said that he does believe in voter fraud, but does not believe as Trump does that 3 to 5 million people illegally voted in the election.

"Election fraud does occur," McConnell said on CNN's "State of the Union," adding that "there's no evidence that occurred in such a significant number that it would have changed the presidential election."

In a new interview, Trump told Fox News's Bill O'Reilly that "a bad situation" still exists regarding voter fraud. The president has threatened to launch a "major investigation" into voter fraud, but the White House has yet to announce such an effort.

"I don't think we ought to spend any federal money investigating that. I think the states can take a look at this issue. Many of them have tried to tighten their voter rolls, tried to purge people who are dead," McConnell said Sunday.

There has been no legitimate evidence of the large-scale voter fraud claimed by Trump.

“”””Election fraud does occur,” McConnell said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” adding that “there’s no evidence that occurred in such a significant number that it would have changed the presidential election.” “””

Notice how McConnell qualifies his statement. By McConnell’s reckoning there could have been 10 million votes cast by illegal voters in California, Illinois, and New York and that would not have changed the election.

Brainless idiot. He really thinks he is capable to think.

If McConnell is a brainless idiot, what does that make the Kentuckians who keep voting him in? He would have no power to harm the nation if they didn't keep doing that.

If one had evidence no investigation would be needed. However we have a multitude of reports that indicate it may well be massive. This, then demands a thorough investigation as an honest electoral system is basic to the Constitution.

We are not stupid here in Kentucky. Dealing with this rino pos is just harder than you can imagine. Last election we had an exceptional conservative run against McConnell in the primary. Due to the millions in establishment money and a scurrilous McConnell campaign that would embarrass a soros funded clintonista we lost.
That losing candidate, Matt Bevin, subsequently upset the rats in the governors race and is doing a phenomenal job.
Trust me, we tried to get that swamp rat turtle but with the swamp still flooded he was just too entrenched.

You have two candidates.

They decided to vote for that idiot.

Short of a direct bribe, they did so willingly.

And if the people there REALLY cant stand this guy, then they know where his office is, and they have mouths and pens, and phones.

This man is as disloyal as any Democrat. I hate fact that Cruz and Paul made a deal to not campaign against him. I so wish he had been primaried out!!

In the case of California...if you did a check of 10,000 folks registered, I think you would find at least 300 people who are double-registered, dead, or non-citizen. Same in Chicago.

For states like Alabama, I’d take a guess it’s closer to 50 frauds per 10,000.

Look around....what investigative reporter even wants to pick this? No network will dare touch this.

The real goal here, turtle, which obviously terrifies you, is not to change the LAST election -

We Need the Investigation to Learn All the Ways that Votes Were Stolen in the Last Election so We Can Create Safeguards to Stop Vote Stealing in Future Elections !!!

"....3 to 5 million or 800,000. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?"

Right....what he "believes" matters not a bit, as long as he supports spending the money to collect the data, which is what he is actually doing.

HE JUST SPOUTED THE DNC TALKING POINTS ON THIS.

CALIFORNIA ALONE HAS A LEAST A MILLION ILLEGALS VOTING. LOS ANGELES COUNTY IS 20% ILLEGALS AND NOBODY DISPUTES IT.

THEY GET REGISTERED BY THE MOTOR VOTER ACT AND THE ALLEGED AMERICAN - ALEX PADILLA, (D) MEXICO NORTE - MAKES SURE IT HAPPENS.

“McConnell is following Soros orders.”

Well then couldn’t Trump declare Soros and his groups as terrorist organizations and cut off funding?

That has been discussed extensively and hopefully something is in the works. According to many, Soros is indictable. He should not be allowed to get away with his evil deeds.

This mcconnell fool is a quisling, a capon, a gelding, light-in-the-loafers, weak, pathetic hollow shell of a man. Why he hasn’t been primaried-out by Kentucky voters makes one wonder. This moron is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo weak.

I love the way the #FakeStreamMedia repeats the DNC Talking Point that "there is no proof".

We should tell them Trump's tax returns are encrypted inside the California voting records - they'd get leaked so fast it would make your head swim...
