Trump Slams Courts By Reading Federal Law on Illegal Aliens

Speaking to a conference crowd of local law enforcement officers and leaders in Washington Wednesday, President Trump slammed the courts for what he perceives as lawyering of straight forward immigration law the White House is using to justify his recent travel ban.

Standing at the lectern, Trump read aloud title eight, chapter 12 of U.S. Code which states: "Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on entry of aliens any restrictions may deem to be appropriate."

You just know McCain has been itching to slam Trump on this, but McCarran-Walter is the only thing that could possibly make him ostensibly natural born, so his big mouth is taped shut for once.

So why did Trump listen to the little mouse that roared in Seattle?

Exactly. He got played, and now it's too late.

ObamaCare wasn't shut down when numerous judges ruled against it.

Exactly, there is no such thing as an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT... you cannot IMMIGRATE if you are ILLEGAL... you are an an ILLEGAL ALIEN, PERIOD.

This left wing change the language to influence the ability to discuss an issue is garbage, its propaganda and goebelesque nonsense.

You cannot IMMIGRATE if you are illegal... you can only IMMIGRATE LEGALLY... so there is no such thing as an illegal immigrant, just an illegal alien.

alien in that context just means someone from another country...

there are illegal aliens, people who came here without prior permission to enter...

and registered aliens...people who applied to immigrate prior to coming, waited until they had permission to enter our country and when they got here were supplied with an Alien Registration Card AKA green card for its color...with a number which is also annotated on their naturalization document when they become an American citizen...

and then theres the visitors who stay only the short time allowed ...is it 30 days ???... but they are also known as aliens...however if they overstay their visa limit they too become illegal aliens...

“If a President has this power removed by the Courts then Constitution means nothing, and we are a lawless society.”

Oh, this may be even worse than that!

The Court will have “found” a Constitutional Right to unregulated open borders. This means that Soros wins bigger than he ever thought he could. Hillary couldn’t even imagine this. Every person in the world will have the Constitutional Right to come and stay in the United States. The Cheap Labor Express won’t even need H1-B’s anymore, it is come one and come all because the President can not regulate the borders.

And then they’ll take every decision Trump makes to court and do the same thing...and they can flood the Supreme Court with cases on every decision. And even if Trump gets Gorsuch in, his policies will be stalled by the slow walk through the courts.

This is the Democrat’s nuclear option, right here. The courts are theirs.

Agreed, and you should have repeated it:

Finally someone is using the right term

ILLEGAL ALIENS

don’t EVER use the word ‘immigrant’ or ‘immigration’ in connection with illegal aliens..

illegal aliens don’t immigrate...of any sort...

You are correct. Trump plays the long game. He gives the Democrats enough rope to hang themselves, and they never disappoint.

If the 9th is foolish enough to support Robart, the Supreme Court will not be. If it goes to the SC, it will be an 8-0 vote for Trump. The law is too obvious and settled in this matter and the SC justices have way to much respect for the institution to engage in such an obviously partisan attack.

Robart is going to receiving a smack down and Trump will let the courts do it. It would be a dereliction of Congressional duty not to impeach and remove Robart from the bench for malfeasance. The Congressional Republicans must step up to the plate on this.

My niece took her medical training at U of C. And her brother lives there now.
And, as the attached letter will attest, my grandfather may have had something to do with Coshocton’s conservative reputation, to wit:
Coshocton, Ohio
May 13, 1938

Mr. Uncle Sam
c/o Henry Morgenthau, Jr.
Washington, D.C.

My Dear Uncle:

I am in receipt of a letter dated May 5th, from Mr. Morgenthau, which letter he signed as your Secretary of the Treasury. According to the dictionary, a Treasury is, among other things, a place in which stores of wealth are deposited, and as there does not seem to be any wealth in your Treasury, it would seem that he should have signed the letter as your Treasurer of the Deficit, as, according to the dictionary, a Treasurer is, among other things, an officer who receives the public money and disperses it and, as he has dispersed a great deal more money than he has received, he is in charge of a Deficit, instead of being in charge of the Treasury.

In his letter, he attempts to persuade me that I should lend you some money by buying Savings Bonds and he states that more than 1,260,000 people own more than $1,600,000,000 maturity value of these bonds, in addition to which, I understand that you owe about $36,000,000,000 on various other kinds of bonds and notes, and that you have a contingent liability of additional billions. In his letter, he states that the savings bonds mature in ten years from the date of issue, and that they may be redeemed for a stated amount at any time after sixty days from the date of issue. This all sounds very impressive, but when these bonds mature, or in case an effort is made to have them redeemed previous to maturity, I am wondering what you will exchange for them. Will it be food, clothing and housing, or will it be 59 cent dollars of some other much greater reduced value, which dollars, as was the case with the German Mark, under similar conditions, may be of value mainly as waste paper?

When considering an application for a loan, the reputation of the prospective borrower is generally considered to be of first importance, and to be real frank about it, your actions during the past five years have not been such as to inspire confidence in you, as in addition to spending in countless foolish ways, a great deal more than your income, you have not been absolutely honorable, truthful and reliable. After borrowing large sums of money upon the promise to repay it in gold, you decided not to do so. In addition, you took from your nieces and nephews all of the gold which we had and buried it in the hills of Kentucky. I am wondering if you think that by planting it, you can cause it to grow in value, or if, like whiskey, you think the quality of it will improve with age. You are also forcing your nieces and nephews to turn over to you large sums of money, which you have promised to save for us and to return to us when old age overtakes us. Instead of saving this money for us as promised, however, you have been spending it as fast as it is received, in what appears to be nothing more or less than a drunken joy-ride.

Even though one of your age and experience should realize that it does no good to prime a broken pump, especially after having tried it for several years without success, you continue to prime the business pump, and to kick and cuss it and work on it with a sledgehammer.

I addition to other things, the frequent use of a hypodermic has done you no good, and probably explains why you penalize and abuse your nieces and nephews who are thrifty and industrious, and reward those who are incompetent and lazy; why you killed five or six million little pigs, even though our political friends are always hungry for pork; and why you destroyed crops of cotton, wheat, corn, etc. to the advantage of producers in other nations.

Like any incompetent spendthrift who violates all the tried and tested laws of economics, there must be a day of reckoning for you at some time in the future, at which time you will find it impossible to pay your debts, or else you will be obliged to pay them in depreciated currency. In either event, it does not appear to be safe or wise to lend you any more money to be used by you in making whoopee and playing Santa Claus. In order to save you from yourself and to prevent the dissipation of what few assets you may have left, a guardian should be appointed for you but this will take time and probably cannot be accomplished previous to 1940.

Your distressed nephew,

Karl W. Bachert

The statute he read applies to any kind of aliens, not just illegal aliens. I suspect the framers had no real concept of illegal aliens as we know them. The people from the 7 countries who are restricted by his order, are ostensibly legal entrants with visas and green cards, so the headline here is erroneous. He can restrict any kind of non-citizen from entering the country.

So he should ignore the courts and do what he wants? No doubt, the Dems and the MSM would make it into a Constitutional crisis. Impeachment would be the mantra.

Kabar, I'm a bit surprised at your remark. "He should do what he wants"? Really? Trump is simply following a law that was created by Congress under their duly mandated constitutional authority. As such, he's merely following his legally established executive duties & responsibilities.

It appears to be dawning on some people (Ingraham, et al) that the judiciary has absolutely no role in the matter of border control, armed force & national security whatsoever: neither constitutionally nor as an enabling act of Congress.

The real issue is one of an emerging constitutional crisis that is wholly of the court's making. Granting scant legitimacy by entertaining both hearings & proceedings is in effect an attempt at usurping power from the true civil authorities.

Since the courts don't have any political ability to change the final outcome, these subsidiary games are actually an attempt to de-legitimize the government. Since it's being done in concert, it can rightly be construed as nothing more than seditious conspiracy:

One should hope that the judiciary is aware of the dangerous areas they are treading.

Keep saying that. Keep e-mailing FOX for years. As long as they allow the left to control the vocabulary, they win the argument.

They are ILLEGAL ALIENS or ILLEGAL INVADERS.

I predict that the 9th Circuit sides with Trump.

If these judges are smart, and I believe that they are, fighting Trump on a matter that is so clearly within his constitutional prerogatives is a path that they would be wise not to go down. I do not believe that Trump will disobey the courts if they decide against him, but I predict that he will be right back in their grill the next day, doubling down on other matters where his constitutional authority is quite clear. He will keep daring them to usurp presidential powers and to look ever more dubious and in-credible in the process. And when they do he will keep ratcheting up the decibel levels and coming back with more. He will not back down and I do not think these judges want to be in a constant state of looking ever more political and pathetic.

The law is squarely behind Trump on this. The 9th circuit judges could roll a President McCain or Romney, both of whom would fold and go home after losing. It is implausible to me that these judges can roll Trump, and I think they know it.

When judges are being so blatant in ignoring the law and making their own, YES he should. He just needs to keep reading that and the public will know. Obama ignored judge orders and that was actually judges saying follow the law!
