Not sure where you got that. Everyone I've ever known at a gym that was seriously working out carried water with them around the gym. I've seen guys working out with weights drink a gallon of water.
Ready, Fire, Aim!
I’ve seen a couple of his self absorbed episodes and am surprised that none of his obese “clients” haven’t dropped dead..........The guy is a gym trainer hack.
May I suggest anyone interested in improving their cardiovascular system to check out a guy named Wim Hof. I find this guy to be very interesting.
Interested in reversing type 2 diabetes? Check out Dr. Jason Fung. (Both of these guys are on Youtube.)
Another thing....both of these guys techniques are easy and “cheap” to follow :-)
Playing tonight at 7...time to go change.
Eww.
You are correct. Moderation in all things is still best wisdom
Fit and healthy two different things
Like me
I run high rpm on a Citroen 2CV of a heart lungs at 24 horsepower
I’m horribly unhealthy ....a bionic man with an electric magneto but I go and go and go
It’s mind over matter
Won’t stop an infarction or ventricular fib though
I am sure the homo lifestyle wasn’t factored in at all.
If hes vegan he is fat deficient.
Jim Fixx? I prefer to remember Karl Wallenda.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing. - Redd Foxx
I’m a 61 year old fitness trainer...was certified when 52. Moderation in all things is, indeed, the key. I never teach fad exercise or diet.
Thanks, I’ll check them out.
I’m betting testosterone combined with HgH and Clomid is why he “looks” 38.
I always liked Jim Fixx. Before he started running he was up to 240 pounds (from 170.) He also smoked two packs of cigarettes a day. He did quit smoking when he started running. Fixx made a big mistake in that he thought running would cover all the sins of a poor diet and previous years of smoking. He had roughly 90% blockage of his arteries when he died, and supposedly ignored some chest pains. According to his autopsy, he had several heart attacks that he ignored prior to the one that killed him. He also was going through a divorce and was stressed out.
His dad died of a heart attack at 43 after having had one at 35, so he had genetics and diet working against him.
One thing, though, overdoing can be as bad as not doing at all. I know of quite a few people who have done permanent damage to themselves exercising.
Reasonable exercise, reasonable diet, get checked medically.
Fixx got me into running, which is still my favorite exercise. He made some errors that contributed to his death, but was a good guy, overall.
It also explains the sports injuries (torn ACLs and such) that are now rampant in professional sports. Our soil is now depleted of nutrition compared to 1960.
Why I take a supplement that is the 12 primary cell salts. These are the primary salts left behind after a body is cremated. I use Hyland's Bioplasma. That in addition to a carefully planned vitamin and mineral supplement regimen. I go for RDA not much more.
My wife was friends with a vegan man and wife. The man was a marathon runner. He ran in the Boston and New York marathons. He died a month ago at 43. No warning at all.
Vegans’ diets are deficient in certain necessary enzymes, proteins and minerals you can’t get from vegetables.....................
