Donald Trump makes the Energizer Bunny look short-winded. He is the absolute master of the art of personal diplomacy. He is a great listener. He is always thinking. And he is working for us for nothing, he and his beautiful daughter and her brilliant husband, as well as the entire leadership team he has brought to Washington, DC.

I’ve been wondering where Cruz has been the last couple days. Not a peep out of him on this non-repeal bill the Republicans leadership has come up with.

My guess is Trump is going to pull out all the stops to get Cruz to support the bill. As a long time Cruz supporter, I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t insist on getting rid of these tax credits, which are just another version of the subsidies and will perpetuate the new entitlement. Like the country needs any more entitlements with a $20 trillion debt.

I think Trump's meeting with Cruz is going to be much more ambitious than that.

Trump posted this remarkable Twitter message late this afternoon:

Rand Paul is leading the charge for the GOP in the Senate, and I'm guessing Trump is going to look for Cruz to stand with him.

What makes the Twitter message above so remarkable is that it was put out there AFTER Spicer and Price had their press conference supporting the House version of the bill, and that Rand Paul had already called the House bill "dead on arrival."

I believe Trump wants the House and Senate to draft up competing bills that may have very few overlapping provisions, and then work with the leadership of Congress to pick out the best parts of each bill.

Why you think someone is against President Trump because they tool on Lyin’ Ted is beyond me.

Look, the entire GOOe is against the President. We pray for him his staa and family because we know Ryan and sadly Pence will turn on him at the most opportune time.

So lighten up there Francis and know the real globalist enemy. As Steve Bannon said, they won’t give up taking the nation back.

Cruz is a reliable conservative vote.

I still think it seems like he takes a lot from Rush Limbaugh but that’s good in itself.

Pence won’t turn on Trump and Pence is one of the most accomplished social conservatives in the country, especially per pro-life issues.

“You clearly must be one of those blind never Trumpers that supported the killing of Kennedy!”

All I can say is that it must be late where you are and you are not thinking clearly. Get a good nights rest.

"Since being sworn in, Trump has hosted Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Chris Christie at the White House."

I see.

Cruz has been a strong ally of Trump since the election, and I greatly appreciate it.

Trump has got such an amazing optimism. He chugs down a whole bottle of the proverbial happy pills. Every day.

I would not be surprised if he gets the cats to lie down with the dogs somehow.

It sure looks like Donald is trying to diplomacize away grudges. Cruz gave Trump trouble late last year and Trump put Cruz in his place. But Trump is too much minded to be politically resourceful to want to keep political foes as foes forever.

Keeping enemies close?

Cruz has not been an enemy. He will never be president, given his disgrace at Trump's convention, something he will never live down. But, since then, he's been a good soldier.

Lindsey, on the other hand....
