I stopped in to the Grocery Store last week on my way home to get my wife some diet coke, the 60ish yr old man in front of me, whipped out his EBT card to pay for the RibEye Steaks and some other stuff. He still needed about $5 for stuff NOT covered on his EBT, he pulled out a Wad of Cash in the THOUSANDS!!!

I know because I rarely go anywhere without at least $1000 Cash in my pocket. He had Plenty, WHY IS HE ON FOOD STAMPS???

Read this. Especially page 5

What is says is that ‘refugees and asylees’ aren’t subject to working requirements, etc.

Here in my county, you can sign up for it online. They even have a ‘means tester’ that works anonymously so you can play around with different incomes/asset distributions to hit what you need to show them. The bureaucrats usually don’t even get up out of their chair to check much beyond the very basics.

SNAP is 100% paid for by the fed (for the benefits) and the administrative costs are shared about 50-50 between fed/state. This means the state contributes half the cost of administering the program.
