Odd that he was charged solely with wearing a mask. It’s usually tacked onto other charges. Like robbery and wearing a mask. I don’t believe that openly carrying a sword would be a crime in Virginia.

Being different isn’t an offense but intentional concealment of identity (in many areas) is and if the guy presents as unstable (drug or alchohol induced)...you have cause...

As a side note, last year about this time two High School kids were murdered behind my wifes business, literally on her doorstep....by a 19 year old walking around in public wearing a Guy Falkners and displaying very erratic behavior for days prior and after...
