Appreciate the comments.

I had heard about some of those demands.

One of the obstacles that I heard about right at the end was that neither the Senate nor, because he was in a corner, the President was able to guarantee to the conservative house members that the Senate would preserve those conditions.

If what you say was indeed the case the House could have passed the bill, but it wouldn’t have left the Senate the same as when it went in.

I’ll be honest with you: If the House Speaker can’t explain the damn thing to me and the public in two weeks, and can’t specify how it is going to affect ME, then the plan is no good and/OR the speaker was lying and concealing as he always has done.

Lastly I am just tired of having things “done” for the same of having “done” something. Yes, I know agreement is tough in Congress.

But this damn mess they always make...”oh the second and third phases will take care of that”...sure they will, just as Obamacare did.

Probably phase 2 and 3 would not have been able to get 60 votes.

So what? You have Obamacare 100% of Obamacare 95%. You opted for 100%.

Blanket statements are not enough because the of the fluffy treatment the agenda driven media gives them. Conservatives such as Jordan have to dissect this legislation piece by piece and explain what was wrong with it.

I agree. I tend to agree with the hfc on a lot but I think they played this wrong. Price can hopefully do what the congress won’t. Not the best way but the only way for the time being. I know many people who are hurt by Obamacare. Mostly self employees people. Our representatives let them down. That’s the core of our party. Crazy stuff!

You already do support illegals getting funded healthcare.

You support it every time you vote for a Continuing Resolution to fund the government (and your parents’ Soc. Security), because that is in Obamacare.

You vote for Obamacare every year.

You aren’t conservative.

Ryan would be opting for 100% if he doesn’t get back up again.

The pretense RyanCare actually had a chance is a joke.

Kill the ACA and anything in its image.

They voted. They ALL voted to repeal!

Like my ex-husband said: “It’s not MY fault that you took me seriously!”

President Trump is making a mistake if he is siding with Rino Ryan and Priebus over his base and the Freedom Caucus. He appeared to be taking this position with his morning tweet disparaging the FC and this tweet was not a good sign.

I am a strong pro-lifer and understand that the Ryancare bill was only a sham defunding of Planned Parenthood for a year.

Let’s hope President Trump realizes that siding with RINO’s over conservatives is a bad move, admits the tweet was a poor move, apologizes, and backs the right bill - repeal and free market.

He must have listened to bad advice from the RINOs and I thought he was smarter than that; I still trust him to make this right.

Well, THAT is a good point. Will he bring the bill back?

I’ve been scoping articles . . . articles with actual quotes from specific House members. Not, unnamed sources. There were a lot of moderates who switched to NO because the bones tossed to the right wing would have lost them their seats in their moderate districts.

You guys really need to embrace the truth that there are a lot more GOP seats who are moderate than are redmeat Freedom Caucus. It’s not an ideology problem. It’s a math problem. You have the Congress majority. You have to govern. You can’t govern if you cross your arms and say no to everything the majority of your own conference wants. Basically, you pushed too hard and lost the moderate YES votes. Ryan could not get it through with just 25-30 FC votes. He needed over 200. You ain’t got 200.

The REAL problem here is there are GOP NeverTrump types like Mike Lee in the Senate. Everything out of his mouth is designed to undercut Trump. If he thought an Obamacare replace bill could win, he might join the GOP Senate moderates who could vote NO. When you have backstabbers in your own caucus, you’re in trouble.

And last, about bringing the bill back. Well, any bill that doesn’t get through is a bad bill, so if you want to call the bill bad, you’re right. Just for the wrong reasons. But there are other reasons in play. Without the $300 Billion Ryan designed into the bill, there’s no money for any other agenda. Both redmeat AND moderate conservative GOP types have no desire to balloon the deficit, and without that $300B in reductions from Obamacare expenditures we may get no agenda passed at all.

Pretty big deal. Of course, the NeverTrump crowd at ALL COSTS wanted Trump’s agenda stopped.

AHCA was not a repeal-and-replace bill; instead, it was a phony-baloney plastic banana continuation of Obamacare under a Pubby label. I an confident that history will thoroughly vindicate both the Freedom Caucus and Heritage Foundation two groups of American heroes.

Last time I checked I haven’t voted for any of those things.

Your post is totally incoherent. I assume you are just having a little hissy fit because your flavor of socialized healthcare didn’t pass.

The Govt has no business in healthcare. There is nothing about it in the Constitution and there is nothing conservative about replacing one crappy plan that rewards one set of lobbyists and cronies with another crappy plan that rewards a different set...all at the expense of the people....not to mention the crap they tried to shove onto our Veterans.

Maybe you, Ryan, and the rest of your RINO turd buddies will learn a lesson about campaigning on one thing and doing another. I will be happy to see all the RINO turds flushed.

I love how he talks like he's got a bill on his lap that will pass both houses of Congress.

It is already in committee. It is a duplicate of what the House and Senate passed in 2015 with unanimous votes by all Republicans. What say you now?

Everyone knows why that passed. It was a guaranteed Vero. It won’t pass now and that’s obvious

That is true, but it needs to be a recorded vote with Trump as President. You and I know about this. The vast majority of Americans do not.
