President Trump's job approval rating soars to 50%
Rasmussen reports ^ | April 17, 2017 | Staff

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

This is the first time the president’s overall approval rating has been back in the 50s in nearly a month. Just after his inauguration, Trump’s job approval peaked at 59% and remained in the 50s every day until early March. It’s gone as low as 42% since then.

Exactly. Up or down, I also ignore polls. When, oh when are people going to learn that the massive polling failures last year were not abberations, but the norm?

“Amazing what lobbing a few explosives and moderating positions will do for poll numbers.”

Explains the resurgence of the #neverTrump FReaks here.

Rasmussen had the race tight the entire month at the end. The person I was responding to called this Reuters. Rasmussen != Reuters.

I will vote for the same person I voted for in 2020. Since Johnson has said he’s out for 2020 and Hillary has said she’s done with politics, that pretty much leaves one person.

Btw, is or isn’t China a currency manupulator? Is or isn’t NAO rrlevant? Has or hasn’t Yelled done a good job? Is or isn’t health care complicated?

Thank you, really. I’m just now at the point at my age that the only poll I believe anymore is the one question of myself to myself. It is the only one that matters.

I don’t recognize my world anymore. I don’t trust it or what most MSM or polling outfits say. I guess I’m an anachronism that has outlived his usefulness and I guess that’s the way of ‘progress.’ But until I eventually die, I’ll keep to what I grew up with and learned and came to know, and these days from what I see I don’t see much hope for this country.

I will persevere and I fortunately am rejuvenated by my President because that’s what I know, and I will hope for the best.

One of the least attractive things about FR are those who impugn those with different opinions (although in this case it is very mild) and never discuss the issue.

Fact 1: Fake Headline.
Fact 2: Moving “Total Approve” from 48% to 50% for a DAILY poll is meaningless.
Fact 3: 2% is within the Margin of Error and thus meaningless.

State-based polling was even worse. Not a single one of them predicted anything like Trump winning 306 electoral votes. None of them were even close.

***********************************************************

The current NK situation was unexpected and in order to deal with this the president had to attempt to get China on board with us, which he has done. Do you seriously believe hammering China on currency manipulation would have put them in the frame of mind to help us? Or do you think as do I that Trump made a “deal” with them to put the currency manipulation issue on the back burner until this NK think is resolved? It’s called PRIORITIES.

You seemingly have missed the fact the NATO countries have now agreed to catch up on their funding shortfalls. The “deal” struck here ws that Trump would refrain from calling NATO obsolete (and maybe us not protecting them) if they would agree to pay up what they owe.

Obamacare is the fault of Ryan although Trump should have never endorsed Ryan”s plan. Despite what the liberal media says this disaster we call Obamacare is STILL an albatross around the necks of the Dems.

Agree. I posted that Trump has done a lot of Reaganisque activity and I got flamed on this web site. I think a lot of conservatives have gotten short sighted. Trump is not Reagan, probably has more flaws, but never the less he is doing what he is promised.

Remember, Reagan did not get everything he wanted, bu the got enough to get this economy moving again. Trump is following in his footprints.

Bingo — Trump is a transactional leader, not a doctrinal one. That’s why he’s a winner. It’s all laid out in ‘art of the deal,’ and his detractors still don’t get it.

“I will vote for the same person I voted for in 2020”.

Wow a time traveller you are.

“Btw, is or isn’t China a currency manupulator?”

The President met with the Chinese Leader and came to an agreement with him that China will assist with NK among other things. Its called the Art of the Deal.

“Is or isn’t NAO rrlevant?” You missed where they have agreed to start ponying up the money on their end. Again Art of the Deal.

“Is or isn’t health care complicated?” We will get another try at Health Care soon. Patience.

BTW, you should spellcheck before posting.

so in the Art of the Deal, you change your statements based on whether you need the entity or not? In other words, China was to be labeled a currency manipulator. Either they are or aren't. If they still are, then he didn't tell the truth when he said they no longer were.

If he said NATO is not relevant, then either he misspoke or didn't tell the truth again, as now he realizes they do have a purpose. Yes, paying their fair share is important, but the relevance is not whether they pay their fair share but whether the alliance is needed and practical. If they hadn't ponied up, would he bailed on them?

When is this soon on health care you speak of?

Trump is bargaining from a position of strength in both China and NATO scenarios and the results so far is consistent with his America first attitude. As for health care, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Patience.

Polls have been sooo reliable lately...

In this country 30% of the people have been conditioned to automatically respond with disapproval at the mention of Trump's name.
