According to a report by South Korea's primary news outlet, Yonhap, the Pentagon has directed a total of three US aircraft carriers toward the Korean Peninsula, citing a South Korean government source.
Yonhap reports that in addition to the CVN-70 Carl Vinson, which is expected to arrive off the South Korean coast on April 25, the CVN-76 Ronald Reagan - currently in home port in Yokosuka, Japan - and the CVN-68 Nimitz carrier group - currently undergoing final pre-deployment assessment, Composite Training Unit Exercise off Oregon - will enter the Sea of Japan next week. According to the senior government official. the US and South Korea are discussing joint drills, which will include the three aircraft carriers and other ships.

Pray for our military
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
No concern for chemical weapons attacks but this, hey hold on.
The UN is a tool of one world government. In the way the NYTs earns its loathing, the UN is dirty on a global scale.

Well and truly said in every detail.
The 2 destroyers with Vinson can launch 56 each.
I imagine the Reagan and Nimitz groups will both have at least 2.
The shooter in your pic needs to learn how to “get a grip”.
Hummm, my son who is assigned to the Nimitz is home with us on emergency leave. I told him of this article and possible deployment. His words were, about the Nimitz,” I don’t think so.” He is scheduled to return next Monday. He’s a Sr. Chief.

While declining to confirm a specific date, they did not dispute speculative media reports from South Korea that the strike group could be in the region by April 25 or so.
Speculation has been rising that the Ronald Reagan and Nimitz strike groups could join with the Vinson. The Japan-based carrier Reagan, however, is in a maintenance period at Yokosuka scheduled to complete in May, and would need at least a minimal amount time to work up its crew and air wing to regain operational proficiency.
The Bremerton, Washington-based Nimitz and her strike group is off Southern California, nearing the completion of its major pre-deployment exercise. The ship is scheduled to deploy this spring to relieve the Vinson in the Western Pacific. The carrier, if need be, could be sent early, but Navy and Pentagon officials said Friday and Monday no such move is planned."

Yup. Nothing imminent ^
“Trump MIGHT back off...maybe throw in taking down the DMZ and demilitarizing.......S Korea market would tank for a dozen years as they assimilated a bunch of malnourished, radical, retards. Might be cheaper just to kill most of them in a war.”
One alternative scenario: China (or China and Russia) retain N. Korea as a client and buffer state. That would reduce the threat level for China and Russia; and make N. Korea their problem. No nukes allowed in the Koreas. The DMZ would be demilitarized; but, the border would be left secure (to control in-migration from N.K.)
There are PLENTY of USAF assets in theater.
Plenty.
Let’s go grab the Pueblo while we’re in the neighborhood.
The first time I posted that, (several years ago,) the argument about "the grip" went on for a dozen or so posts.
Not if you turn out the lights.
Oh look, another assh*le without a clue who evades questions. Clueless people like you are a dime a dozen. I was trying to educate you, but based on your moronic response, it’s clear you were not going to allow that to happen.
Seems to be a problem with IE.
Works fine on Firefox
What’s your solution? Wait until his delivery systems can strike anywhere on the planet? You want us to negotiate with fat kid at that point?
“Speeds that are limited by her surface battlegroup.”
Knew a vet that had been on a ‘flank speed’ pacific crossing during a time of crisis. He said they called out every escort they could scrounge up and sent them steaming full speed in a line across the pacific. The carrier would leave them behind. A while later the next batch of escorts would appear over the horizon, sailing flank seed in the same direction. A few hours later they would over haul them and leave them in the dust. A while later they would catch up to a new pack of escorts.

And those were the ones he could see. I’d bet there were SSNs beating the bushes in front of that carrier, but since we had to sprint and drift to be of any use, they would eventually leave us behind too.
