An apology from Georgetown and the Society of Jesus’ Maryland Province for their roles in the 1838 sale of 272 enslaved individuals for the university’s benefit took place today in the company of more than 100 descendants.
“Today the Society of Jesus, who helped to establish Georgetown University and whose leaders enslaved and mercilessly sold your ancestors, stands before you to say that we have greatly sinned,” said Rev. Timothy Kesicki, S.J., president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, during a morning Liturgy of Remembrance, Contrition, and Hope. “We pray with you today because we have greatly sinned and because we are profoundly sorry.”

In the mid-1600s Oliver Cromwell sold 2/3 of the entire population of Ireland into slavery in the American Colonies and Carribean Islands to enrich the English Treasury.
Why? Because nobody will stop them.

It's not the city (technically it's a neighborhood in Washington, D.C.) of Georgetown that's apologizing. It's Georgetown University.
A retrospective judgement of past actions using the template of modern values and beliefs rather than the mores of the times is pseudohistory and done for the gratification and psychological needs of the living. If today’s Jesuits are really concerned about legacy, they ought to reflect on how their personal sexual behavior and politically correct posturing will one day be judged.
In 1838, slavery was legal in Washington, D. C. and in all the surrounding states. In fact, in 1838, slavery was legal in half of the states of the United States.
“We pray with you because we have sinned.”
According to the Bible (Num. 14:18), the children of those who sinned are punished by God unto the third and fourth generation (meaning, I believe, that the children are made to suffer the long-term consequences of sin). We, in America, know the awfulness of this warning, for we have had to suffer a Civil War and a century of sectionalism and Jim Crow discrimination for failing to embrace the principles of our Founding.
But, according to the Catholic Church, white people are guilty of sin because other white people sinned in the past. Well, maybe the Jesuit, as Jesuits are prone to do, isn’t saying, but is only implying that white people are guilty of the sin of slavery today because white people in the past were guilty of slavery.
As to implying that white people are sinful, hell no.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. White people and every other color people, today and all through history.
As for slavery, Africans in Africa committed that sin. Asians in Asia. And, Americans in America.
As for ending slavery, the Europeans were the first to end slavery (in Europe, although not in overseas colonies). The Christian nations took the initiative in ending slavery during the 19th Century. And promoted the international convention at the end of the 19th century ending slavery, joined in by the leading Muslim countries and the independent nations of Africa, and eventually also by the Asian counties. The ending of slavery in the world is a great achievement of which all mankind can rightfully feel good about. We, who have accomplished so much in this regard, can look forward to securing economic opportunity and human rights for everybody.
Finally, as to those who extoll their own virtuousness by falsely accusing others of sin, this is the sin of pride.
No one deserves or needs anything wrt whatever was happening with their ancestors in 1838. Today’s descendants have no connection to slavery on either side of the issue.
But if Georgetown wants to really prove its SJW bona fides, they should just give over the whole university to the leftards right now.

They don’t demand slave owners apologize.
They apologize as if they did it.
This defies logic. These people are mentally ill.
Oh, STFU. We? I've sinned, but I didn't commit that sin. You've sinned, but you didn't commit that sin. So stop apologizing in our name for something "we" didn't do. It just enrages savages and leads to them killing more innocent people. If you want to apologize for a sin you've committed, that's the one to apologize for.

Freedom can NEVER exist in “collectivism” or “group-mindsets” or TRIBAL socialized mindsets.
This war is on Right Reason and Just Law ((virtue) (our Constitution) and Christianity, the most rational religion in the history of the world which created the most brilliant, just, political systems: Common Law, Magna Carta, the US Constitution and Bill of Rights from ONLY God, etc.
They have to kill God—kill Reason—kill Objective Truth—kill Virtue formation in our children, so they can return us to the tribal, feudal days of slavery, sodomy and pederasty which is rampant in Afgahnistan today.
For their NWO, as Fichte stated in 1810 to get “happy” slavery of the masses, you have to destroy the Minds of all the little children: Remove them from the Natural family unit, destroy true marriage (like Lenin), and put them in group (non) think factories away from Reality, their loving parents, and Truth so they can be WARPED and DESTROYED-—and made into non-thinking “snowflakes”—dehumanized—reason and trust totally removed) for total slavery. In these group-(non)- think factories the curricula is embedded with psychologic warfare on the minds of our children. It is deliberate—to destroy reason and logic (critical thinking) in our children.
Get your children OUT of the SYSTEM. Homeschool with only Classical Christian curricula—not into the indoctrination, Satanism system, which is most EVERYTHING in our pop culture today. They will become irrational, ignorant satanists—vice will be ingrained and dependency embedded in boys (total emasculation)— after the brainwashing and embedding of unnatural desires and lies for 12 years.
Doesn’t Georgetown have anything more contemporary to apologize for? Like being anti-American and pro-evil. And being in the NCAA.
