RUSH: I’m not happy to have to pass this on. I’m very, very troubled to have to pass this on. And I want to say at the outset that I hope my interpretation is wrong, and I hope this is not the case. But it looks like, from here, right here, right now, it looks like President Trump is caving on his demand for a measly $1 billion in the budget for his wall on the border with Mexico.
The Democrats are threatening a government shutdown. It’s the same old same old, and I was hoping that Trump would throw this shutdown thing right back in their face and have everybody realize they’re the ones engineering these shutdowns that nobody would notice anyway unless a big hullabaloo was made about it. The Democrats seem to have successfully used this stupid, silly threat of a government shutdown to get their way. What Trump is saying is if we need to get this done, then I’ll delay the spending on the wall until September. And it’s just a measly billion dollars.
But the problem here, folks, is one of politics. If this happens, if Trump does — and I use the word “cave” guardedly. Trump, I’m sure, does not ever think he caves on anything. But outward appearances are what they are. And the bottom line is that if he is willing to withdraw a demand of his for a measly billion dollars for the wall because the Democrats are threatening a shutdown then the Democrats will have just learned that this threat works on Trump, too, not just all the other Republicans.

It’s not just that the left (and the RINOs) want to exploit and control the Aztlan people, they know damned well that most of the marijuana, cocaine, heroin and meth comes into this country from the southern border. Americans are dying in every part of this country from the damned drugs that are everywhere! The cost of this drug epidemic, the human life value being primary, is massive. Drugs means police, correction officers, prisons, jails, court staff, judges, drug treatment programs, Narcan in every first responder rig, probation officers, etc. That is a huge amount of money spent trying to combat a problem that elected officials claim they want to stop. That’s a load of crap. They do not want it to stop. These costs are bleeding the middle class dry in my home state of NY. It is not sustainable.
Of course he will get the wall built. DJT stands strong on the promises made to the American people. If our do nothing congress fails, (and they will, no doubt) we know that DJT has the ability to make it happen without them. THIS is the reason he was elected to office.

Folks....this is going to be a long, slow, slog. It will get done. remember what Steve Bannon said: these scum-bags on the left have literally stole our country & they are not going to just give it back to us without a titanic fight. This is part of that fight.

Thinking idealistically, this sucks.
Thinking politically, this makes sense. Coming off of not getting anything done on healthcare and heading into a battle on taxes, I see not wanting to go near shutting down anything.
Having said that, after Mr. Trump has played nice for a month he needs to turn up the heat. Every death every crime needs to be pinned on the Dems and their refusal to build the wall. Trump should hit the rally and twitter circuit and turn the heat up on all those who oppose the wall.
Outsmarted by the Globals again. Their tactics of delay delay delay, threaten, etc. work every time. If DJT couldn’t best them, who can?

I hope Trump doesn’t think he has 2 terms to build this wall, because if construction isn’t started in a years time there won’t be a 2nd term.
Our side is full of the people the right swears the left wholly consists of, that’s for sure.
