Two weeks ago, in the wake of the Manchester bombing, I mistweeted and it cost me.
Everyone knows what I said and I’m not going to repeat it here.
The wording was horrible. Loaded with unintended meaning. Quickly deleted, amended to make clear, and apologised for live on TV and radio.
I have no excuses. And I take full accountability — disasters, triumphs, I must treat them just the same.
In truth, I woke up to the news of the terror attack in Manchester on our young girls and I saw red. As a mum, I felt fear. And I raged.
And now I am raging again. And now, more than ever, I stand by what I MEANT those words to say. This. Cannot. Go. On.
Whatever we are doing now is clearly not working. We need a radical rethink.

Today Theresa May stood outside Downing Street and articulated what everyone feels today. Enough is enough. We can’t go on this way.
What she DIDN’T offer was much concrete to change things on the home-front beyond a crackdown on Islamic extremism, tougher sentences and another assault on the social media giants’ role in allowing terrorists the means of communication and propaganda.
But I’m sorry, Prime Minister, neither of the last two things is going to make much difference at all and the first will only work if you follow through with real, tough action.

Put up bollards or other barriers between the roads and the sidewalks. ARM your citizens, for the love of all that is good. This is not rocket science! The British police were proud that it only took them 8 minutes to get to the scene. I do not think 8 minutes’ response time at the heart of the city is anything to be proud of. Learn how to cut that to two, max. Citizens forced to defend themselves with chairs and bottles does not bespeak a people planning to survive.

That is incredible! I had no idea epilepsy could be so absolutely brutal. We have a friend & when she has seizures she goes quiet & stares for about a minute & remembers nothing. She had a shunt implanted that gives her a mini shock to get back on track.

Those might be short term solutions to satisfy the external bleeding. But the internal cancer needs to be excised. Without complete removal of the internal problem, bleeding will continue and will get much worse.
Nor being allowed to survive by having the means to defend themselves. Waiting for help up against an 8 minute police response time means YOU WILL DIE.

Theresa May is an idiot along with her party. Unfortunately so are the other parties there. Just like here. Lucky we have Trump.
A friend of mine, a native Brit who has been back in England for 5 years said that he thinks May could well get a lot tougher *after* the election. IOW, she’s got to play it carefully to get re-elected. No guarantee of course.
Personally, my gut feeling is that GB is lost.
Next in line, the USA. Outside of Trump, does anyone in congress have any balls? Practically no one. Can Trump do it alone? Nope. This is why the left has been stacking the judiciary for two generations. And it is paying off (for them) right now. Unless the executive branch and (hopefully) the legislative branch begin to defy activist, unconstitutional jurists, we are not likely to fare any better than the Brits in the long run.

Agreed!!! A first responder (police) at London Bridge was armed with a baton ONLY and found three jihadists with knives. He survived with severe injuries. The British Police are brave and courageous man and women but are sitting ducks.

After 9/11 we had a moral stance that would have allowed us to do whatever we wanted. From shutting down all mosques and exporting all muslims, to making muslim illegal. Anything.
And no one would have questioned our decisions, we could have done what was needed. But we didn’t.
Bush went on to say is was a “Religion of Peace.”
And so, since 9/11/2001, what has happened? Has Islam in the US been slowed? Has muslims been diminished at any level? Or has the muslim pig cult gotten larger and have more influence in the US? Have we had more terrorism in the US?
I have learned more about this pig cult than I have ever wanted to know.
