Yes, Lankford is doing a good job. Comey is cool under pressure...not nervous. But I’m surprised at how fast he’s talking and that he doesn’t think longer before answering questions.
why wouldn’t Trump mention Flynn? Jan 24th report he was in the clear, backed by CNN on the 16th - 2 days after ‘dinner for 2’.
So why would Comey say, he couldn’t/wouldn’t verify that Flynn was in the clear, when CNN comes out with their story 2 days later that the FBI says he’s in the clear?

We have no idea if those memos are the original notes he claims he made right after the meetings/phone calls. Notes are one thing. Memos made form those notes are another thing. People usually dictate their thoughts into a recorder, or jot them down on paper, then later prepare a longer document from their recorded comments, or written notes. Who’s to say what embellishments he added as he was transferring his notes into memo form.
He was playing Commissioner McMillan, diving in and personally solving a high-profile case when the need arises.

He was worried about the Russians trying to influence the election, but he wasn’t worried about HIllary’s mis-handling of classified information, and whose lack of security made those documents available to foreign entities, including the Russians he claims he was so worried about.

Au contraire. Comey is hurting Trump by calling him a liar and saying that he perceived Trump's statements on Flynn about letting it go as a direct order to stop the investigation. This constitutes obstruction of justice. Comey had never reported it.

The distinction is how the tweets should be employed. They should be crafted in essence by the legal team and have a purpose. I.e., the tweets should be used to make or underscore points that an agressive R on the committee would pursue, and to counter false, irrelevant or unsupported contentions by the D's.
What a wonderful and previously unavailable opportunity: to provide contemporaneous comments to a national audience.
