The media would have exploded, immediately declaring it was Trump's rhetoric, his talk of violence and division that was the driving force behind the shooter and others like him.
The big media attacks on Trump would go on for weeks if not the duration of Trump's presidency.
And it would go on for the duration of the Trump presidency.

My first thought when I saw: 50 shots, nobody killed was...Democrat with no skills.
The Rats would demand Trump’s resignation. No question about it.
For sure the New York Times would have a front page story.
The “Resistance” now has its first martyr to venerate, and as a sixtyish white male and small business owner from the Midwest, one they can plausibly pass off as an American Everyman motivated by the most noble patriotic and compassionate instincts, in a way they could not with most of their assorted social misfits.
The point is, the talk and violent actions have been on the side of the Democrats since Trump announced his run. Look at Berkeley, Huntington Beach, Chicago, San Jose et al.
Does this not further establish it's the democrats who are the party of intolerance and violence? Should this not be discussed or brought up? What's your point?
Democrats will also run ‘pity parties’ for themselves... saying they get death threats too. My guess is dem war rooms send ‘death threats’ out - more liberal elite ‘hoaxes’...
The FBI needs to get off their butts and track down ALL the ‘death threats’ and see how many of them come from liberals TO LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVE TO MAKE IT ALL LOOK ‘EQUAL’.

The shooter was a Democrat....Hillary is a Democrat. I think after Wasserman Schultz and the DNC screwed Bernie, the shooter switched his support to Hillary.
My point is that you’re essentially stating that the sky is blue. The MSM will always cover for Dems/liberals and attack Republicans/conservatives. This isn’t new, and not exactly a surprise. It didn’t just start with Trump; it’s just more blatant now.
Does anyone expect the MSM/Democrats to do a mea culpa? It will never happen.

When? Good question. I’ve about had a belly full of democrats threatening Trump and his supporters.
The shooter was clearly radicalized by big media.
He would have been chastised for so many misses.
I've harbored the thought, for a while, that if the Right does start targeted shootings, it won't be politicians or protestors that bear the brunt of it. It will be the media figures and activist organizers who are spurring them on.
Isn’t that what abusers say? “Look what you made me do!” The media and the demoncrats are responsible. Prayers for all the injured. Prayers that these people will see their own insanity and change. Prayers for peace in our land.
The point of a discussion is a sharing of more than just your point of view. What do you want? “Yeah! You’re right! The dirty MSM would go crazy if it were reversed.” That’s not a discussion—it’s an echo chamber.
