President Donald Trump called an emergency meeting on the Fourth of July to formulate a 'measured response' to North Korea's first intercontinental ballistic missile test, amid fears it could reach as far as Alaska. North Korea declared Tuesday that it had finally achieved its dream of building an intercontinental ballistic missile, saying it would 'fundamentally put an end to the US nuclear war threat and blackmail'. U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson later confirmed the latest missile test was with an intercontinental ballistic missile.

I have always thought NK is just China’s puppet. They can use NK for their mask/scapegoat/test platform. Diplomatically China just says Ok we will place sanctions on NK but it never happens

DJT needs to bring that quote back and make a speech that is accompanied by powerful military action at some point, but there can be no dithering with the brutal and murderous Norks.
Those who know their track record of sneak attacks using conventional weapons, assassinations, terrorism etc. over the decades know that Nork possession of nuclear weapons and or missiles to deliver them would mean blackmail including sudden and unexpected use of the nukes against the USA and other nations like Japan.
What motive would the norks have for using a nuclear weapon on anyone?

Most likely, however, he would use his piddling nuclear-armed ICBM as a threat with which to extort foreign aid. In the days of Obama, that would be a smart plan. In the days of Trump, I don’t think so.
