It isn’t Trump’s job to prosecute felons.
It’s Session’s job.
Trump has not cleaned house of the Obama loyalists. He is instead attacking Republicans.
True enough. Trump said it shortly after the election. That he wouldn’t pursue “locking her up”.
I was disappointed at the time.
I cringed at what he’s doing to Sessions. Call him in for a talk, don’t keep doing this.
The sad thing is, the deep state has boxed Trump in to such an extent that he can’t have a conversation with his AG without someone screaming that it is obstruction and wanting a transcript of the conversation.
Folks you can read my prior posts to know I am a 100% even rabid Trump supporter. IMHO the president ultimately is hiding something, and we are going to lose him because he has no allies in Congress. I’m sorry to say this, believe me.
Trump shouldn’t be castigating Sessions publicly like this. If he has a problem with Sessions’ job performance, he should address it privately.
Wow this thread brought out the never Trumpers and Trump mind readers in force! Let’s criticize Trump because Hillary would have been so much better is that right? Grief!
Trump supporter and Sessions supporter.
Trump is prodding Sessions to get his ass in gear or be gone.
Good advice. Many here are concerned about no action on many issues.
What I have read about Sessions are:
Marijuana laws
Asset forfeiture
Praising Bundy prosecutors
Maybe the asset forfeiture is tied to MS-13 and illegal aliens, but these are not why Trump was elected.
He needs to get his priorities straight.
Praising Bundy prosecutors? Seriously, Jeff?
I’m not going to make the mistake of second-guessing Trump’s political instincts. If he thinks that publicly slamming someone is a good idea, then I say he should run with it.
What frustrates me is that Sessions was require BY LAW to recuse himself from anything involving the campaign. Trump should not be attacking him for something he had no choice over.
I disagree with this article on the grounds that Sessions KNEW recusing himself would piss Trump off but he did it anyway then allowed a known Hillary supporter, bought and paid for, to appoint Mueller. In short, he blundered his way through the whole episode.
Sessions should resign immediately.
Sessions sold out. Being a creature of the Swamp, he did not want to prosecute or otherwise investigate Clinton. Thus the recusal from all things Russia.
I’ve got no problem with Trump questioning Sessions commitment and I’m suspicious of most people that are questioning Trump at this point.
President Trump has legitimate gripe with Sessions. If not over his recusal than his refusal to reign in the witch hunt and put a legal stop and put DOJ pressure on the seditionists.
I think Sessions has been great on illegal immigration. I don’t see another person who could be AG who would go after the illegals and not give a damn what people call him, the way Sessions has. He is straight up law & order.
Given that, I don’t see why he cannot (or will not) investigate Crooked Hillary & her gang. There are so many Clinton crimes which are not related to Russia. Even then, in my mind he recused himself his involvement in Russia & the election - not Hillary’s.
If he isn’t personally involved in an investigation, he could direct others in the DOJ to go after the Clintons.
If I had to choose, I would rather have the illegal aliens gone, than the Clintons locked up - I think they are circling the drain anyway. But, I don’t think it should be a choice between the two outcomes. Both should happen.
BB has been really, really bad recently.

Trump must of woke Sessions from his nap?
bkmk
Sessions is a kabuki swamp member. A deepstate compromised or corrupt rat bastard and he’s REFUSING TO STEP DOWN.
Obvious to every rational person after he recused himself and then his DAG appointed a special counsel to investigate TRUMP!
We need treason trials and hangings.
Attacking your own appointees publicly looks like weakness AND failure.
Obama is no longer POTUS.
Would have been nice if Sessions hadn't done the recusal thing - that was dreadful - but it's water over the dam... time to move on. Bigger fish to fry - bigger problems to deal with.
The press and rino’s would go nuts if Trump gave Sessions a direct order
This way is best
How gentlemanly, honorable, and loyal is THAT?
But Donald Trump is President, so if Sessions can't been an effective AG—due to his recusal, or for any other reason—he should step aside. If the recusal fiasco was his only mistake, that would be one thing. But there were others, such as his failure to disclose meeting the Russian ambassador.
Sessions isn't the Second Coming of Christ any more than Donald Trump is, but come on guys! Can all the Sessions fanboys (of which I used to be one) at least admit that he made a mistake in not consulting—or at least notifying—his own President on this ridiculous recusal?
