The plot against President Donald Trump to oust him from his White House position or, barring that, render his leadership completely ineffective has just grown a bit deeper, a bit darker, a bit closer to home.
A memo circulated by Rich Higgins, a National Security Council staffer who was fired by H.R. McMaster, apparently outlined some of the key deep state players who would like nothing more than to see Trump gone players that included globalists, bankers, Islamists and establishment Republicans, according to a copy of the document, obtained by Breitbart.
Heres more of the story, from Breitbart:
The memo says the administration is suffering under withering information campaigns designed to first undermine, then delegitimize and ultimately remove the President. It also said there is a mindset within the White House inadequate to the threat.
This is not politics as usual but rather political warfare at an unprecedented level that is openly engaged in the direct targeting of a seated president through manipulation of the news cycle. It must be recognized on its own terms so that immediate action can be taken, it said.
The seven-page memo at times takes on an academic-like tone. Higgins, a former Army explosive specialist, Justice Department consultant, and Pentagon official, had also taught as a professor at the National War College, according to a Daily Caller interview last year.
But McMaster allegedly detonated after he got ahold of the memo, a source close to Higgins told Breitbart.
Although the memo never mentions McMaster or others in the White House, it says, many close to the president have pushed him off his message when he was candidate Trump thus alienating him from his base thereby isolating him in the process.
When President Trump is not candidate Trump, he becomes dangerously exposed. While the base that elected candidate Trump identified with his vision, they are only Trumps insofar as he holds to the vision that made him president.
The memo was written in May, but after McMaster discovered it, Higgins was called into the White House counsels office on July 18 and questioned about it. On July 21, he was fired by McMasters deputy, but not explicitly given a reason why.
There are differing accounts as to how McMaster got hold of it. Higgins wrote the memo on his home computer, but had sent it to his work email to print out. The memo did not have an authors name on it.
The source close to Higgins told Breitbart News that he believed McMaster obtained it from Higgins work email account. Two sources told Foreign Policy that the memo was discovered as part of a routine security audit of NSC staffers communications, but another source told the outlet that it was through a leak investigation of those suspected of communicating with blogger Mike Cernovich, who has waged an all-out war against McMaster.
McMaster was just very, very obsessed with this, with Cernovich, a senior administration official told Foreign Policy, which first published the memo on Thursday. He has become this incredible specter.
The memo reportedly made its way to President Trump, who loved it. It was not until he saw it on Fox News did he learn that Higgins was fired. A senior administration official told Foreign Policy that Trump was furious.
After Higgins was fired, McMaster fired two more NSC staffers Derek Harvey and Ezra Cohen-Watnick. They had all worked on the presidents campaign and were hired to the NSC before McMaster got there.
Sources say they were also dedicated to the presidents agenda, versus McMasters which disagrees with the president on numerous issues including the Iran deal, Afghanistan, and whether there is such thing as radical Islam.
McMaster has not publicly addressed his firing of Higgins, Harvey, or Cohen-Watnick. An interview he granted to NBC NewssChuck Todd is scheduled to air on Sunday.
Forget Higgins. The TreeDoofus says things are fine at the NSC.
Why is McMaster still employed with the US government?
That sort of thing is pretty important to military folks.
The original Breitbart story was 2-3 days ago, and Pam Geller is recycling it for hits and revenue.
She’s a failing pundit with a failing web site. And no original ideas.
MC MASTERS
SOROS deep state LACKEY
“.....An interview he granted to NBC Newss Chuck Todd is scheduled to air on Sunday.”
OK. Curious as to the credibility of NBC news’s anybody. I’m s’posed to believe I can get clarification, or something by watching NBC?
Trump was so furious that he allowed McMaster to fire two more of his hand picked staff. Trump isn’t helping himself with waiting. Sessions may pull a rabbit out of his a$$ at some point but it will be too late. He needs to get rid of this McMaster Scum. Get rid of IRS Commish. Get rid of Mueller.
So Higgins should have sent the memo to the person he was complaining about?
Higgins wrote the memo on his home computer, but had sent it to his work email to print out.
Ha...doesn't pass the smell test
Higgins a Professor at National War College, Justice dept consultant and Pentagon ofical doesn't have a home printer...?
And from his gobmint work must have known everything printed out at work is archived..
or a nearby FedEx....?
The people are out to do two things:
1. Hamper Trump at every opportunity to discredit him, get him off track, and hope he is tricked up enough to leave an opening for impeachment or similar.
2. Hunker down and survive in their positions until they are able to reach a place in time when one of their own is in the White House and they can resume their plan based on the premise that Hillary would be elected.
Democrats aren’t the only players with this view. There are a good many anti-Tump Republicans with the same attitude. They all want Trump to be a one term guy (at most) so they can go back to playing house.
Strange comments.
It's as if you think that the story should only be covered by one media outlet. Or do you just not like the story?
Or is it the brave Pam Geller that you don't like?
I've been noting this for some time now. Trump and his people seem to be underestimating the gravity of the danger he's in.
Fire McBastard NOW!!
Trump needs to can McMaster.
Good point! To add to your point, the NSC is NOT the military and it used to be that opposing points of view were welcome in NSC discussions. (I participated in quite a number of them some years ago and no one was ever fired for a dissenting opinion or for taking an “unpopular” stance.)
I wonder, however, why no mention of the dismissal of K.T. McFarland as Deputy NSA back in April? I had a few discussions with her several years ago and I was extremely impressed with her in-depth command of details on a broad range of foreign policy topics, including terrorism.
Thank for your thoughtful and appropriate reply.
