The Alabama-based nonprofit activist group tracks civil rights and hate crimes and defines a hate group as an organization with "beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics."

There's three types of groups: Right, Left, and Religious. I would put the Islam ones on the list in the Religious category. The rest are duplicated over and over through the list, so there's really not that many lefty groups given exposure here.
There is no denying that this list is HEAVLY biased...

My hate group map has all fifty states and DC colored in completely because the Democrats have a presence in all of them along with CNN. They’re the two biggest HATE groups in the country.
