The Wall Street Journal ^ | August 20, 2017 | Jillian Kay Melchior

Timothy Vaughn dutifully cheered the University of Missouri for a decade, sitting in the stands with his swag, two hot dogs and a Diet Coke. He estimates he attended between 60 and 85 athletic events every year—football and basketball games and even tennis matches and gymnastics meets. But after the infamous protests of fall 2015, Missouri lost this die-hard fan.

Mizzou should leave the SEC and join the HBCU conference, the MEAC. Any sane white to attend that school is crazy.

Good. Let schools like Mizzou and Evergreen State demonstrate what happens when you OD on diversity.

I have two degrees from there. Won’t give them a dime. Ever.

Salvation Army, American Cancer Society.... are you listening?!

These charities are among the 20 or so that have fled President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. They planned galas and fundraisers there—but are now cancelling.

I notified the Salvation Army that I am no longer giving to them.

I hope the same goes for MILLIONS of people all across America. Make these PC hacks suffer until they realize Trump is a good man. Don’t believe the liberal media.

The campus has had to take seven dormitories out of service

In 1975, when I started, they had students sleeping in the gym cause there wasn’t enough dorm rooms. Now they’ll probably have to rent them out as HUD housing.

Hey, just more "safe space" for them. Looks like a win-win to me!

I would follow suit if my school were to be so stupid.

“Two weeks later, a student announced he was going on a hunger strike, and the football team refused to practice or play until the university met the demands.”

Demands were met but the team decided to play like they were on strike anyway.

Evergreen State

Evergreen State has been a lost cause for more than a decade, maybe two. It has always been a bastion for far, far-left ideology. The worst uni in the State for that; and, considering that it is Washington State, that is saying something.

I've ALWAYS donated to the Salvation Army in preference to the Red Cross in large part due to the stories my dad told me about the differences in the two agencies during WWII.

I always felt good about giving to the SA, especially the bell ringers at Christmas.

No more.

F 'em!

Same here. I always budgeted-in the SA donation every Christmas. Very sad to hear this; I always thought they were a decent outfit.

Salvation Army can now join in it’s comrade in the trenches: Target.

Idiots. That twenty I dropped in the bell ringer’s pot every Christmas, year in, year out, will go elsewhere now.

Salvation Army

Wrote a letter of protest.

Actually got a response, but I think he thought I was attacking Trump.

Thank you for your email and for your generous annual support.

Could you unpick what you mean by 'Donald Trump is 100% aligned with your service', as this is an allegation I have not seen before. The Salvation Army does not endorse any particular political party or representative.

Appreciate any clarification you can offer, so that we can address your concerns.

I give $500 a year to SA. No more

Donald Trump is 100% aligned with your service

You are nothing to me anymore

Best Regards,
