Rockport hit very hard...lots of damage....buildings down...
Another reported..cars bouncing light poles dancing...I saw his gif...he’s right.
Use jar candles over stick candles of course...but some people aren’t exactly bright enough to understand the difference.
Houston news reporting slight chance of street flooding, tonight. Same with surge flooding and tropical winds. Tornado warnings, moderate.

When my kids were very young I would place a short,fat vigil candle on a metal pie plate——one in each bathtub,and one in the kitchen sink.
I would then strategically place other un-tippable candles,jar candles, in strategic places.
Worked for us-—this Weather Channel guy looked 14 years old. :-)

Jeff Piotrowski re-tweeted that Rockport High School is levelled. Other tweets include multiple reports of structural damage as inner edge of the eyewall approached.
