Harvey looking good..I expect the NHC to increase the wind forecast..could be a major Hurricane IMO..
main story will be the rain....the storm could sit for a couple of days..just inland
Track with loops in similar to Allison which dumped 20-35 inches on Houston....in 2001
This storm is larger and stronger then Allison...
also its been Wet recently over TX(ie no drought)

the 12z early model suites have shifted the storm track a little north
good news: corpus christi wont be on the bad(ie right side) of the storm with major surge into the bay
bad news: houston metro gets more rain

Some areas are expecting over 20 inches of rain. That's a lot of water in low lying areas. Yeah ... could be catastrophic.

From way north of Houston all the way to the gulf it’s all low, flat country. Really a bad place to be when it’s about to rain over a foot.
