You must have missed his speech in Arizona during the campaign when he talked at length on immigration. He said that anyone in the United States illegally was subject to deportation.
When he mentioned the wall in every speech as his signature issue and mocked everyone who said he was not serious, then it is quite necessary for him to stick with the wall.
If the present immigration laws on the books were rigorously enforced, there would be mass self-deportation of illegals.
OK, good. Then he should build the wall and send the arrogant “DREAMers” back home anyway.

It really doesn't matter to me who wrote it. What matters is that it's a valid response to the President's own statements about not wanting to deport DACA illegals, using the same rhetorical points (i.e. "not their fault") that amnesty advocates like to use.
I been reading all morning how President Trump has “caved” on DACA & I’ve yet to see any real evidence this is the case.

Giving amnesty to some is just an open invitation for others to come here. Reagan made that mistake 30 years ago - he promised that the amnesty would be a one time only deal. It wasn't, and the amnesty itself was a signal for more illegals to come here, knowing that they wouldn't be thrown out either. Any compromise on DACA would do the same thing.
If true Trump will lose his base and be a failed one term president. Immigration was the issue that elected Trump, to break his word on immigration will be his “Read My Lips” moment.

You're right. The President was never in favor of deporting DREAMers. He's wrong on this issue, just as Reagan was wrong when he thought "one time" amnesty would be a good idea. If something like DACA gets passed, it's just an open invitation for future illegals, like any other form of amnesty.
You also have a very good point about Jared and Ivanka's malign liberal influence, especially with Gorka and Bannon gone and Sessions (a stalwart opponent of amnesty) increasingly marginalized.
Trump knows he has to ‘give to get’... that’s just part of the ‘deal’ process. What we have to remember is Trump’s not a fool... and he won’t fall for pity party stories the say way George Bush the first, second and Jeb the wannabee - fell for them.
Never underestimate the power of fake letters written in Democrat War Rooms ... and the psyops behind those letters... It took Rush Limbaugh over a year to ‘catch on’ to the fake callers to his shows... of course that was over a decade ago.

Unfortunately, what you say is true. The reason for the sarcasm tag is that a lot of people (including some on this thread) don’t see that the “it isn’t their fault” argument that’s made for DREAMers is exactly the same line of specious reasoning as letting children keep goods that were stolen by their parents.
