Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea, etc. would love to study the telemetry and guidance abilities of our rockets, so as to be better able to adjust and avoid them.

I would say we have the ability to fix the trajectory pretty quick and determine whether is targeted or not. If he’s just targeting open ocean it’s costing him a ton of money and a missile every time. Every time he fires one that’s one less he has and I suspect he only has 1-3 with that range. How fast can he build another I don’t know but we have the capabilities to shut his country down in a matter of hours.

First of all because we'll be giving away top-secret information the moment we shoot something at them, whether or not we hit the target.
Secondly, because our undersea assets can pick up the pieces of the missile relatively intact from the ocean floor. This gives us all kinds of highly useful information about his propulsion, guidance systems, materials, etc., etc.
Many answers to that. we may not be totally ready at this point number one number two if we show our hand and miss that would be bad number three I think Trump is moving in equipment slowly that would give us this capability
