This is chest thumping that gorillas engage in. he should tell the fanatic where the line is and when he crosses the should take action. if you have the power toil someone a million time over, you don’t need to stand in fervent of planes and noms and all that BS. Now they’re both like ;little boys. I can bomb you. i can bomb you bigger ands so on. It’s BS and unfit for the president.

> I read a very plausible list of the artillery that Kim has deployed.

A fellow Freeper made a few points on a NK thread a little while ago. His premise was that many if not most of the NK artillery pieces are old, probably not reliably maintained with ammo that is of similar age as well as being crewed by troops lacking regular experience with live-firing exercises. In addition a comment was made that if the artillery used electronic control systems for targeting, a non-nuclear EMP would render them useless.

I know there are a lot of military Freepers here, both active duty and Veteran, any comments on this angle?

"What evidence do you have that the Norks,Chicoms *or* Ruskies *want* us to shoot one (or more) down?"

What "evidence" exists that these folks would like to know the extent of our defensive capabilities? Tell me you're joking...

We do have a non nuclear emp generator which could be used on the blast doors which are opened to fire and closed to reload. Whether the artillery is rolled back for reload is also a question. Probably much lower fire rate than expected.

In addition to what others have said, the THAAD units and other systems needed to do this are currently either in transit (or in the case of the sudden order Japan placed for THAAD systems, currently being assembled). Mostly what we have in the area is a few ships with limited ABM capabilities, but this is the same Navy and same fleet that sent out two totally unqualified crews on deployments and then is wondering how they ended up hitting two gigantic slow merchant ships.

There are also a few THAAD systems in the area, but not enough for all-aspect defense or interception. Trump’s rumored order to the military to shoot down all further launches was less than a week ago and it takes time to move THAAD units across the world. We don’t have Star Trek style transporters and Obama pissed off enough of our allies that they told us to take the systems home during his tenure.

Further, all the more mobile ABM systems and systems under development like THEL, MTHEL/Nautilus, YABL-1 and even the squadron of F-15s armed with missiles that had known ABM/ASAT capabilities - all shut down and scrapped by Obama. Obama gutted the core of the working missile defense system while only keeping token systems.

Nasty little secret - in the Obama administration, when the nuclear weapons that had reached their prescribed time for servicing were brought in to Pantex, it was discovered that nobody at Pantex knew how to refurbish them any more. They had to go find some retirees.

Nasty little secret is that we’re not even sure if the nukes we have will actually work. That’s how bad things are right now.

“Whats with the stupid hats Chubbys generals wear?

Looks like you could flip them over and use as a handy wok!”

My theory is that when these guys are around little Kim, they’re constantly crapping their pants, so the hats are made that way so they can be used as portable toilets, or handy dandy storage for a ready supply of Depends.

It is not chest thumping. It is the use of images to warn the Pig of consequences. It is called PSYOPs. Have you ever heard of that?

Since you seem to be knowledgeable, do you think we have the ability to do a “focused” EMP blast that would disable all electronics nearest the NK/SK border but not on the SK side?

Seems like if we did, we could disable a lot of the communications at all those artillery sites pointed at Seoul.

The EMP was discovered. It wasn’t known. It was a product of a mid-altitude bomb test long ago.

Info is available.

I agree. The issue becomes multiple launch rocket systems so far as Seoul is concerned. They can fire a lot of artillery type rockets very rapidly

If NK wants to go ahead and strike SK, China will stand down.

NK will get rocked.

If NK would want to defend itself it would have to expend its firepower on military targets. Otherwise, they’d just get rolled.

The media makes it sound like the norks would be targeting mom & pop in their living room.

That’s not a good way to slow down a huge army rolling into your country.
