Kellyanne Conway: ‘If There Is No Funding for the Wall, No Deal Can be Made’
Pam Key ^ | September 17 | Pam Key

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said that President Donald Trump would not make a deal with Democrats on immigration that does not include funding for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Conway said, “The president has made clear, including this week that if there’s no funding for the wall, no deal can be made. He said it as plainly as possible for all to hear. Those are the president’s words take it to the bank. Secondly, bipartisanship is a means; it is not an end, it is not a goal or an objective here. It is a vehicle by which you get things done particularly when you need 60 votes in the Senate for certain matters.”

Still don’t understand the Dems on this. If the wall won’t work, why does it matter? Just consider it an infrastructure bill like the bridge to no-where and move on. [they know it WILL work, of course - certainly not eliminate it but cut down 50%+]

Why wouldn’t they fund the wall? The DC Sewer Rodents (swamphings is too kind) have been funding it through at least two prior presidencies.

Not entirely. Deporting the illegals already in the country is probably more important than a wall which is somewhat symbolic in nature. After all if you don't get rid of them they still have incentive to come and collect welfare that the rest of us provide via the plundered fruits of our labors.

Here's my deal.

Capture every immigrant crossing or who has crossed into America from the Mexican border. We provide the materials and training, but after each one completes the labor of 50 feet of building the border wall, they will be given proper entry papers to America.

In four years there will be a border wall and a skilled in trades workforce.

We have enough wage deflation. No more immigrants are needed.

‘If There Is No Funding for the Wall’

So, if they dribble out .01% funding, that’s enough? We’ve come a long way from “finish the wall, then we talk”.

Put out a push poll showing Hispanic voter trends shifting to republican votes cast and the DNC will drop napalm on border crossings.

Sorry, but if you’re in a leaking boat it gets really tire bailing until you plug the hole.
Throwing people out without being able to effectively close the door behind them is a fool’s mission, as is evidenced by the illegals who finally kill someone and bring real attention to themselves and we find our “government” has deported them a dozen or more prior times.

The decision seems to go back and forth a couple of times every week. Sort of like DACA, sort of like the Paris Global Warming agreement, sort of like Trans in the military, sort of like “doing something about” Kim Jong Un.
Stay tuned.

Well then, better start talking with Mexico PDQ, after all, they are the ones who are paying for the wall.

I tend to agree. Wage deflation is a good reason. Another reason good or not I'll let you decide is just based on the size of the population.

Why does a country our size in population approx 330 million people needs any immigration at this point?

If 10% of the 140 million Mexican citizens are living in the US that is 14 million mostly illegal.

If Illegals from Mexico make up 40% of the illegals, that would mean 16 million are visa overstays or other countries.

My napkin math I get 30 million illegals so we really have 360 million people here.

I think we have enough people here - perhaps a couple extra.

Democrats have been had.

Remember, they were the ones who announced the “deal”.

Trump appears to have reached out and not said no. It’s a proven tactic to reach out to an opponent in a good natured way...and not say “no” to anything they propose. It keeps them engaged and positive.

And it’s done for outside observers who like to see comity. It has nothing to do with the main deal. It’s just a means to get there.

Right. Sounds good.

But they will soon be changing what is meant by a “wall”.

They’ve already started that process, calling ongoing repairs to existing fencing the “wall”.

And then also, Trump spokesmen are now floating suggestions that a wall is not even needed in most places.

The US can never have a sensible and beneficial immigration policy unless we have a physical wall on the southern border. Anything less is completely useless as it is subject to easy subversion by leftists.

Once we stop the flow of illegals, we can then do all kinds of good things with immigration, good for us and also for those who wish to come here legally.

Build The Wall!!!
