Alabama Republican Roy Moore leads Democrat Doug Jones by less than 6 points in a new Senate special election poll that's likely to raise questions about whether the deep-red state is in play.
Moore, the controversial former judge who won Tuesday's GOP primary runoff, leads Moore by a margin of 50.2 percent to 44.5 percent in a new poll conducted by Opinion Savvy and commissioned by Decision Desk HQ. About 5 percent of polled voters said they were undecided.
Democrats are cautiously eying the race in the hopes that Moore's penchant for controversy can help them pull a surprise upset. Moore has a solid base of support among the state's evangelical community, a reliable voting bloc, thanks to losing his position as chief justice of the state Supreme Court twice for disregarding court orders on the separation of church and state and gay marriage.
But he's also drawn serious criticism for both those decisions as well as some controversial comments he's made in the past. He's argued that terror attacks and violence may have been caused by a drift away from religion, that homosexual conduct should be illegal, and said that a Muslim congressman shouldn't be seated in Congress.

Read 2nd paragraph...Moore leads Moore ????
WTF !!!
*JUST* 6 points behind.... imagine that
Watch the stupid GOP work to help the democrat win so they can say “See???”
Moore won the PRIMARY.
I still recall some MSNBC clown saying Hitlery was within 5 points of Trump in Kansas.
And two weeks before the election, there was a poll that said Texas was a “dead heat” between Hitlery and Trump.
I suspect this poll is about as reliable.
The election earlier this month was a primary for the Republican nomination.
The general election R v D is in December. December 12, I think.
Moore won the PRIMARY.
...
Well, i feel stupid...He wins by 15 or more
Yep. And according to the polls Hillary Clinton won in a landslide. Blow it our your @$$, The Hill.
1 + God = A Majority
Uh huh. Sure they are. 8-|.
2.5 times as Republicans voted than Democrats in the primary (United States Senate special election in Alabama, 2017). Moore is up by 6 in this poll, outside the 4 point margin of error. Democrats have no enthusiasm at all about this race. Moore's almost guaranteed to win.
Given how inaccurate the polls have been for the past two election cycles, Moore likely has at least a 10 point lead.
The Hill is a liberal media outlet and always slants toward libs/Dems. Until a known polling outfit produces the same results, this is a non story.
That was MSNBC idiot Steve Kornacki.
Kornacki excitedly goes over all the great wonderful Hillary polls at 3:00 mark and then someone splices in when CNN called the various states for Trump. Hilarious!

Prior post is better.
I’m messing up. I was trying to refer others to YOUR post instead of mine below it.
“If the poll ain’t PPD
there’s no truth for you to see”
This will be Moore by 10.
OK, so I have it at 54%, you have it at 55%. I hope it’s higher than that and he gets to 60%, though specials can be tricky things with unusual turnouts.
Funny thing about Alabama now, the Democrats have been so wiped out there, there’s literally no first tier candidate bench for them (similar problem here in TN, but many of our RINOs would be Democrats if the party wasn’t moribund).
