PULLED IN TWO DIRECTIONS
21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.....23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ... (Philippians 1:21,23)
As Christians, we are pulled in two directions. We all want to go to heaven, but this life also holds great appeal. We are like the youngster in Sunday school who listened intently while the teacher told about the beauties of heaven. She concluded by saying, "Raise your hand if you want to go to heaven." Every hand shot up immediately...except one. "Why don't you want to go to heaven, Johnny?" "Well," he replied, "Mom just baked an apple pie for dinner."
Now, we don't need to feel guilty for having a strong desire to enjoy life. Marriage, a family, a fulfilling job, travel, recreation...these all have a legitimate appeal. But if the delights of our earthly home are so attractive that we lose sight of God's purpose for putting us here, something's wrong.
The apostle Paul had mixed feelings too. Although he believed he would be released from prison, he knew that he could possibly fall victim to Nero's sword. This created a conflict. He longed to be with Christ, for that would be "far better" (Philippians 1:23). He also wanted to live...not merely to enjoy life but because he was needed by his fellow believers (v.24). Paul was pulled in two directions, and in both cases it was for the highest reason. What about us?

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Hai, and Good Evening. Okay, got my routes and crew. Pretty much the same like going to Chicago, Atlanta, etc. Lots of red-eye but that’s okay. I like flying at night unless bad weather then ugh. Weather at home is off and on showers. Just watching college football. Heading out Sunday.

Hooboy! Fun, fun, fun .... NOT! I hope you didn’t get eaten up by the insulation in the attic.
Robin’s going to appreciate that new heater circuit this winter. Cold bathrooms are NO FUN.
Ruh roh, puppy isn’t being a cooperate lil feller, huh? Maybe he’s half kitteh. Kittehs are rarely cooperative. LOL
It was a good day though it started WAY too early for this night owl’s taste. Took Baby to a cruise-in this morning and had a good time.
The darlins ain’t bein’ such darlins tonight. They’re rowdy for some reason and driving us nuts.

Oh, believe me I've been in enough attics over the years working as an electrician, and this insulation was the pink fiberglass stuff which gets all over you and itches like heck.
When I got home I promptly jumped back into the shower and changed clothes, but I'm still itching a bit, LOL.
Yeah, the puppy is going to need lot more training but he is a cutie.
That cruise-in sounds like fun. Any offers on Baby?

Yuck! That stuff is wicked. No escaping some itchiness no matter what, unless you wear a suit of armor or a hazmat suit. LOL!
The lil wild man isn’t the first pup to have to repeat obedience class and won’t be the last. Some are more head-strong than others. :-)
The cruise-in was fun. Saw some folks I hadn’t seen in a while and a few cars I’d never seen before. There were several people who asked about the car and looked it over but since Hubby wasn’t with me AGAIN (he knows ALL the minute details), that’s as far as things went today. Just have to see if anyone calls.
There are several more cruise-ins coming up to choose from this month so I’ll get the car out if the weather’s nice.
