The Jacksonville Jaguars have apologized to local military leaders for demonstrating during the national anthem in London last month.

Jaguars President Mark Lamping sent a letter to the director of military affairs and veterans in Jacksonville saying the team was ”remiss in not fully comprehending the effect of the national anthem demonstration on foreign soil has had on the men and women who have or continue to serve our country.”

The FR archives don't go back that far, but here's part of an old FRAF thread from 2000.

“We’re sorry you’re upset” is not an apology

Exactly.

Roger Goodell, in his ignorance, said players were exercising their Constitutional rights. WRONG.

Nah - the Jags owner travelled to London, knelt on the field during the National Anthem, but was not the one who sent this letter. Jags are having the owner side with the players, while the GM takes the opposite side with this letter.

I have some pictures that I will have to get uploaded somewhere online seeing that I was a part of the FRAF and did not know it. I did send it to Mark Levin and he got a real kick out of it.

“What happened?” Hillary said it was acceptable!!!!

And, didn’t she say that when in the UK? Maybe she and the kneeling Jaguar players can move there. Permanently. Renounce the ugly, racist, discriminatory, repressive, oppressive U.S. citizenship. They can kneel before the Queen.

I like the idea of an apology and I would accept this one except for one major point. Unless it's in the letter and not put in this article, the apology does not state whether they will continue to do this. If at the end of the letter it said something to the effect that in the future all Jaguar Players and employees on the field during the national anthem will stand and respect the flag, it would be apology accepted. However, an apology without a correction of the poor behavior is meaningless.

"NFL owners are meeting this week in New York, where the national anthem will be a key topic of discussion."

Who could have ever foreseen this sentence ever being uttered? It would not have even 10 years ago.

Colin, thanks to you as a BLM/NFL idiot, you woke Americans up to the NFL scam on our tvs and in our tax payer stadiums. Your contribution to Americans will be remembered, like 8 years of Obama and H. Clintoon's campaigning gave us President Trump!

NFL = NEW FAR LEFT!

More NFL teams renamed: Oakland Traitors, Baltimore Cravens, Buffalo Bolsheviks, Green Bay Pinkos, Washington Red Guards, Los Angeles Chekists, Jacksonville Jacobins.

The Dallas Cowgirl Pussies!

Their entire letter boils down to, “We’re sorry you were offended by our behavior, but we don’t promise to never do it again and we’re not sorry we did it.”

That’s all well and good, except that Jaguars President Mark Lamping was NOT one of the ones kneeling in London.

And the players who did remain silent.

Were the kneelers and grovelers fired? No? Well then it's not an apology, just another empty gesture. They can go pound sand. Apology not accepted by this boycotter.
