Calling violence in Baltimore "out of control," Mayor Catherine Pugh ordered 30 agency heads to meet every morning at police headquarters, and to make crime reduction the top mission not only of police, but also of health workers, housing officials and public works crews.
The mayor ordered the directors of more than half of the city’s 55 departments to report to meetings daily at 8 a.m., when they will plan with Police Commissioner Kevin Davis where weeds should be cut, lead paint covered and drug houses boarded up and job applications can be handed out, among other tasks.

"Violence in the city is out of control," she said. "I want every neighborhood to know I am extremely concerned and focused on reducing violence."
Killings in the city have surged past 300 this year for a third year in a row. Violent crime is up 13 percent over last year, and reports of groups of youths attacking people apparently at random have dominated recent local news cycles.

Crime is out of control ... so we need to give those youths more space to destroy ... prosecute more cops ... hire more brain-dead district attorneys ... enact more gun laws ... play more midnight basketball ... and make our bureaucrats attend more worthless staff meetings every morning!

Since you have hand-cuffed and vilified Law Enforcement, you have lost your authority to protest the results.
I can see what this will do - after an 8 AM meeting, the rest of the morning will be free!

The mayor’s office will hang the police out to dry in a second. I’m sure they’re dragging their feet, doing the bare minimum so as not to open themselves up to more problems.
You created this problem, mayor. You’ll have to solve it.

The only thing that’s going to reduce crime in Baltimore is a drastic change in demographics.
Add to that, Baltimore is a Sanctuary City, and it's a port. Is that a real sensible combination?

What about a Chief of Police. They got one of those?
If they don't want one of those, they ought to get one.
Then they can tell him: "hey Chief, why don't you set up a police department? We've got a lot of crime for you to attend to. We got a freakin' all-you-can-eat buffet of crime, and you can just knock yourself out, fighting it. You can go wild, it's every Chief of Police's dream!"

She’s one of the chief architects of this situation. She and her party own it.
I thought that after taking down the Confederate statues crime would disappear. There was a report yesterday that at 13 of 39 Baltimore High Schools, zero percent were proficient at math. Six more schools had one percent proficiency. That’s 14 of 3,804 students that tested as being proficient.
Just like the NFL, the social justice thugs were given the keys, now they run the asylum.
