The popular Keurig single cup coffee machine maker is facing a boycott by outraged fans of conservative talk radio and TV icon Sean Hannity after the company caved to pressure from Democratic Party front group Media Matters for America after the group smeared Hannity over his comments about Alabama Republican U.S. Senate nominee Roy Moore and accusations reported by the Washington Post that Moore preyed on teenage girls when he was in his early thirties.
Earlier on Saturday, Keurig tweeted to MMFA President Angelo Carusone the company would stop advertising on Hannitys Fox News Channel TV show after Carusone smeared Hannity as a defender of child molesters. Carusone and Media Matters have been waging a war on Hannity, trying to drive him off the air by targeting his advertisers. (Keurig should take note that the USAA insurance and financial company reversed a decision earlier this year to stop advertising on Hannity after a rebellion by its military-based customers and shareholders.)
Good afternoon @Keurig. You are currently sponsoring Sean Hannitys show. He defends child molester Roy Moore and attacks women who speak out against sexual harassment. Please reconsider.
Angelo, thank you for your concern and for bringing this to our attention. We worked with our media partner and FOX news to stop our ad from airing during the Sean Hannity Show....

Ahem... Moore is up double-digits at the moment.
Dear folks,
I am a house-bound, disabled, Viet/Cold War vet, so I don’t have much “disposable income”.
I looked at the $100.00 Keurig machines, when they showed up on a ‘TV shopping channel with a tall guy’.
I look at the $12-ish a box of 30 plastic inserts. A wonderful assortment of supposed flavors. (When I worked in Oregon, there was one in the office, so I have used something similar.)
As I said, I have NOT MUCH “disposable income”, so I compared costs, and came up with this:
Keurig = $100 for the machine. Pyrex 2-cup measure <$8.00.
Box of 30 cups = $12.00-ish
Can of coffee of choice rendering >60 cups = $3.18, at printing.
Number 2 paper filters, 100 each = $2.85, at printing.
Melitta plastic funnel to sit over preferred coffee cup,
$5.00, at printing.
Total Keurig = $112.00 for 30 cups.
Replacement costs = $12.00-ish
Total by cup = $19.03 for over 60 cups.
Replacement costs = $6.03.
I agree with being polite, but don't believe for a moment that they don't know what is going on. I work at a call center, and it is sometimes funny to sit and watch the "schtick".
I talked with my sister who lives in northern Alabama. She and her friends are furious over what she sees as a dirty, democrat/establishment (Mitch McConnell) political trick. You wouldn’t be able to stop her from going and voting... plus, getting all her friends to do the same.
On the other hand, if Keurig continues to boycott Hannity, I will buy another K-cup machine. I'm overdue for one anyway.
You will not regret it! I’ve given bags of their coffee away as gifts and everyone loves it.
Of course, as a military family, we will do anything to support our Vets!!
You support Keurig?
Regardless, of you view on this, the one cup Aeropress is awesome. I had two cups this morning and about to go make another.
I have one at work and one at home and have given them as gifts. No, waste - grinds can be dumped in flower bed. Any coffee I want. Low cost for both the coffee maker and for using any coffee I want. Incredibly smooth coffee. I LOVE it!
Owner of Peet’s to buy coffee pod company Keurig for ...

The owner of Peet’s Coffee & Tea said it is buying single-serve coffee pod giant Keurig Green Mountain Inc. for $13.9 ...
Thanks. I was looking for a single cup pour over for travel. I just ordered one.
I have Keurig’s machine, but a have those refillable cups. I grind my own favorite coffee beans and make sure my cup is packed full. This gives me a full-bodied coffee taste, unlike those manufactured K-cups. Those K-cups made by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters do not have enough coffee in them to make a tasty cup of coffee. It is all watered down coffee.
Keurig and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters are one company. Their new name, Keurig Green Mountain, Inc, reflects the consolidation which was made official in 2014.
It’s brave of you to throw away that brand new, fully functioning Keurig.

I must have missed that. When was the Trial?
Is Sean defending Harvey Weinstein against his accusers now?
I was going to load up at the Publix sale this week until I saw this. I pulled out the old coffee maker and went back to my old standby, Eight O’Clock Colombian. Now I don’t know why I ever went to K cups other than convenience as taste is definitely lacking.
I was going to replace a dead Keurig that I kept mostly for house guests, but two or three extra Aeropresses would probably serve just as well.
