I know that disease did much of the killing. But guns did the job too—even guns in Indians’ hands! My point is that black powder muzzle loaders are very capable killing machines and have been involved in lots (if not millions) of murders and crimes—just not in the last 100 or so years. And since they haven’t been used very much for such activity for a century, calls for their regulation are pretty absurd.

I hate to tell the ditzy woman that “larger than .50 caliber” rifles were used in The Civil War, and The War of 1812, The American Revolution, and The French and Indian War, and also King Phillip’s War.

They were THE NORM!! Ditzy woman (she ain’t no Congress-nothing no mo’) at the pushing of her bald traitorous husband, wants your grandad’s antique rifle ‘cause it goes BANG!

Hmm...I have a .50 cal flintlock Hawken rifle. Will an attached suppressor also vacuum the powder smoke when the rifle is fired? That’s quite a signature, you know.

So much for the libs’ argument that the Second Amendment permits firearms that existed as of 1791. Now they want anything that goes bang. Are crossbows next? They’re deadly & make no noise at all. William Tell, call your office.

Now... I own a reproduction double barrel flintlock pistol in .62 cal. I load it with 20 gauge plastic wads & BB shot.

With its 12” barrels this number is a perfectly legal sawed off shotgun. Never had a misfire, BOOM-BOOM!!

;^)

Especially assault muzzleloaders!

Yeah, but man, have you seen the bayonets on those things!?

And on the Enfields, Springfields, Mausers, etc.

Gabby Giffords's gun control

In what way is it hers? Is she the Executive director. Does she work there on a daily basis?

From American Revolution

On June 19, Gage renewed his demand that the Bostonians surrender their arms (muzzle loaders), and he declared that anyone found in possession of arms (muzzle loaders) would be deemed guilty of treason.

I know who is guilty of treason -- gun grabbers.

I’m pretty sure that dangerous weapon claimed more than just one thugs’ fingers.
And that unruly kid got away with it too!

I believe the milita requirement for 1776 was 15 rounds in 3 3/4 minutes.

My Boomerang won’t come back!

Practiced till I was black in the face,
I’m a big disgrace to the Aborigine race,

Fifty years ago surplus shops and hardware stores had 55 gallon barrels of Civil War bayonets for a couple of dollars each. Blade bayonets were more. cash and carry.

Big surprise, eh? The gun grabbers have tried for decades to say the founders intended that the 2nd only applied to muzzleloading Black Powder Weapons and here we have the unhinged(she was unhinged before the shooting) Gifford setting up and assault on muzzleloading Black Powder Weapons!

The only regulation of Citizen owned firearms the left will ever be happy with is one that takes all firearms out of the Citizen's hands. Because an armed populace is too dangerous............to the socialists who want to take over and destroy our Republic.

Doesn't say something that Gabby and her husband enjoy owning guns and playing with automatic weapons have such a great desire to disarm others? I say take it the streets of St. Louis and Chicago and preach your crap, see how it's welcomed there.

I heard some thug in Australia lost all the fingers off one hand from one of those. (Extra credit if you can guess the reference correctly.)

When I was on the ROAD, I heard that some WARRIOR named The Toadie lost his fingers when some feral kid threw a boomerang.

This is about a muzzleloader with a built-in suppressor, although I’m pretty sure any other muzzleloader, be it a musket, rifle, single-shot pistol or revolver, also scare her.

From her report:

“Cue the .50 caliber muzzleloader, which delivers a particularly lethal .50 caliber round. This weapon is designed with a built-in device to suppress its sound. If any other firearm were built with such a device, it would be subject to the NFA as a silencer. But since this device is designed to suppress the sound of something that is exempt from federal firearms laws, it is not considered a silencer and not subject to the NFA. In fact, it is not subject to any laws at all and can be bought online.”

It’s fun reading about all the other scary things in the report, too.

On some TV Show or Movie, I saw recently (May have been “Turn”), an officer tells his troops, “Think of it as a spear that shoots!”.

Yeah. I can see that. Brilliant description.

Reproduction, made in India at the historic Dehradun arms works. Flintlocks of excellent quality. Barrels proofed & dated. A manufacturer’s prototype that was not adopted by the importer Veteran Arms LLC. Got it for a song.
