We remain short of our $200,000 goal. Yes, we are more than halfway there. But there is a big gap. Help fill it.

Many years ago, getting my copy of NR in the mail was a highlight of the week
Me too. Beginning January 1981. That and American Spectator were joys to receive,
and begin to devour with a cup of coffee or a cocktail, and the satisfaction knowing
stimulating and entertaining writing would brighten the day.

Well, to be fair, I should have said, IMO.
I don’t think subscription based sites (Only subscribers can see it) will make it because people are simply used to getting everything for free. And though donations can augment income, they can do it in the same way that subscriptions augmented income for magazinse, along with ad income.
One of the challenges that forum based sites have is the idea that a member can be banned, temporarily or permanently. I’ve learned from personal experience that if there is any kind of risk that I could be banned on a site, I will not donate to that site. That isn’t a problem with push-only information since you can’t do anything to be banned.

Being tech challenged, I’m impressed when someone knows how to post a picture at all. :-)

Many years ago.
Now NR is like picante sauce made in New York City...”
Bill Buckley weeps.
To: Mr Rogers
Same here. I still have the William F. Buckley, jr. tribute edition.
Would have to buy a parrot if they started sending me free NRs, like Rolling Stone.

Look more carefully at the history of NR and WFB and the trotskyites and you will see the seeds of their Dem/lib leanings.

I suggest they ask the NFL is they can provide any insight here.
I really like this idea of the NFL providing the necessary information of what not to do in front of the American public and providing the necessary funds to keep NR on the Fake News MSM limelight.
In fact, we are currently making sure the T.V. outlets show the players taking the knee and showing the actual attendees of the professional football games.
How do you like them apples!

$200,000 GOAL??? That wouldn’t even pay Bill Buckley’s wine bill back when it was a real conservative magazine.

Absolutely. I never understood why so many here essentially worshipped the libertarian Buckley and his ideas.
To: amihow
Billy Kristol’s pappy was a Trotskyite. The schism between the Stalinists and Trotskyites was that Leon and friends wanted “war communism” or fomenting revolution across the globe, while Joe and his pals wanted to consolidate their strength in Russia.
Neo-conservatives never met a war they didn’t like. “Neo-conservative”= not conservative. I saw this from NR writers in the late `90s giving themselves cute names like “crunchy” (granola) cons ad nauseum. President Trump is outing them and they don’t like having their rocks overturned ....
like the finger-wagging peds and casting couch pervs in Hollyweird.
