It would be interesting to know the stock market activities, of the news staff and senior management at ABC, just before the fake news, and just after the correction.
If any of them shorted the market in advance of the fake news, or went long after the drop, but before the correction was aired — they should be investigated. Doubly so, if they were on the winning side of both transactions.
Stock market manipulation, and insider trading is somewhat frowned upon by regulators; or so I’m told.

Tadawul stocks rise for eighth day

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s stock market, known as the Tadawul, rose for an eighth straight day in active trade on Sunday, climbing above technical resistance, as sentiment was helped by hopes for an end to the conflict in Yemen.
Former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Saturday he was ready for a “new page” in ties with the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen if it stopped attacks on his country, in a move that could pave the way to end nearly three years of war.
The Saudi stock index gained 1.2 percent to 7,089 points on Sunday. It rose above resistance around 7,000 points, which has capped the market since mid-October and roughly coincides with the 200-day average, now at 7,014 points.

I always ended up buying high and selling low. It didn’t matter what I bought (my picks, brokers picks, dart board,...) it would fall as soon as I bought. There for a while I kept detailed reports in a bit of brilliance to offer companies to not buy their stocks. LOL. I was that bad at it. I really think I caused 2 recessions. Just me.
