...It turns out the Senate Judiciary Committee also has a memo on Christopher Steele, the FBI and Russia dossier they are working to declassify. Their memo is set to be released including FBI redactions shortly....

Paul Sperry of the New York Post reported, “BREAKING: The Senate Judiciary Committee also has a memo on Steele, the dossier and the FBI, and is working to get it declassified.”

[....]

As previously reported, GOP Lawmakers are seeking to make the case that the Mueller investigation and the FBI probe into Trump’s campaign was based on potentially tainted and flawed evidence connected to Hillary Clinton, says John Solomon of The Hill.

Solomon’s report revealed part of the investigation includes an eight page criminal referral filed with the DOJ by Grassley and Graham:

...While the FBI has been protesting the release of the Nunes memo, it has been working behind the scenes to vet a version of the Grassley-Graham memo, which is expected to be released in redacted form soon....

On January 5th, Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) sent a letter to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding they investigate if Christopher Steele lied to federal authorities.

As I understand, the memo released today is just a short overview of MANY findings - and documents.

No he is working with Rosenstein to push Mueller to give them something they can use against Trump. The coup that Sessions is part of is unraveling but if they can launch a grenade or two then the Dems can keep the accusations going. Their hope is that Sessions will come through for them to create some sort of uprising.

Before you call me crazy please demonstrate why this is not a perfect explanation of all of Sessions actions, comments and non-actions.

I've heard rumbles of that around here, but nothing from Nunez or the committee. Time will tell.

Can someone please explain to me why a warrant to listen in on Carter Page ended up allowing them to listen in on General Flynn and AG Sessions and possibly President Trump himself?

This so called dossier sounds to me like originally it was a satirical piece submitted and rejected by some publication. Suggesting Trump was so petty that he would “get even” with the facility in Moscow where he and his wife were staying when given the same suite which Clinton used. An incredulous composition .

I won’t repeat what was stated in that opus. But frankly Trump doesn’t strike me as that sort of guy and that would consider such action is retaliation by having two hookers urinate on a bed Clinton slept in where Trump probably would consider that as a total waste of money.

As a piece of so called “intelligence” was there any verification ? That means complaints by the facilities housekeeping staff and statements by the two alleged hookers. Yet this is what the swamp creatures are claiming is intelligence which publicized will endanger America.

Since Rosenstein and Wray are co-conspirators we can bet on where they request went.

I wonder how the FISA judges feel about now?

The info is classified becuase the FBI, DOJ and FISA Courts cover each other's backs. There is ZERO risk of civil or criminal liability.

U.S. Code > Title 50 (WAR AND NATIONAL DEFENSE)
CHAPTER 36 - FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE SURVEILLANCE (S:S: 1801 to 1885c)
1809 - Criminal sanctions

(b) Defense
It is a defense to a prosecution under subsection (a) that the defendant was a law enforcement or investigative officer engaged in the course of his official duties and the electronic surveillance was authorized by and conducted pursuant to a search warrant or court order of a court of competent jurisdiction.

It is literally impossible for the wrongdoing described in this memo to be a crime. The FBI can lie to the court with impunity, and the court can knowingly accept lies with impunity. The statute is toothless.

People keep talking about “all the good men in the field” who work for the FBI, and how it’s just the powerful partisans at the top of the ladder who corrupted it. That may be true of the FBI, but it’s certainly not true of the media.

The media is filled with partisan zealots from top to bottom. And the fact that the media acts as a propaganda machine for the Democrats, is more of a scandal than what happened at the FBI.

At the time the Constitution was written, there was a media, and it was mentioned as the “fourth estate”. But there was no FBI.

Sure, heads ought to roll. Hillary, Comey, Lynch, etc, all should be thrown in jail. But let’s take a step back, and remember the sage words of Andrew Breitbart.....”destroy the media and you will destroy the Democrat party”.

The most important aspect of revealing the rotten stench of partisan corruption in the DOJ is how the media will embarrass itself even further, going into Trump’s 2nd year.

Let’s not take our eyes off of the real prize.....the complete and total destruction of the media’s reputation, or what’s left of it. In that respect, this scandal is a means to an end, not an end in itself.

https://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases/grassley-graham-send-batch-letters-related-potential-political-influence-fbi

WASHINGTON – As part of their ongoing oversight efforts to ensure that the FBI’s law enforcement activities are free of improper political influence, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) yesterday sent six letters seeking information and documents regarding Christopher Steele’s work on behalf of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary for America. The letters seek information and documents relating to those political organizations’ knowledge of and involvement in Mr. Steele’s work and his reported interactions with the FBI while he was working on behalf of these political organizations. The letters were sent to:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC)
Hillary for America (HFA)
Former DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Former DNC Chair Donna Brazile
HFA Chair John Podesta
HFA Chief Strategist Joel Benenson

There are links to the letters sent to the above individuals available through the link posted above.

"The more memos the merrier. "

Nunes countered Democrat complaints by saying that when more info comes out it will only give further support to his memo.

Well, I can only reinforce Vlad The Inhalers’ words:

“Where is Eric Holder? Not in jail where he belongs.

Where is Lois Lerner? Not in jail where she belongs.

“Where is Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? Not in jail.

“Where is Debbie’s muslim spy boyfriend? Not in jail.

“Where is Huma Abedin? Not in jail.

“Where are Hillary’s lawyers who lied under oath? Not in jail.

“Where is James Clapper who lied under oath to congress? Not in jail.

“Where are Loretta Lynch, James Comey, Andy McCabe, Peter Strzok and Lisa Paige? Not in jail.

“And where is Hillary Clinton who broke more laws than Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker? Not in jail.”
