Rep. Adam Schiff said Tuesday that the FISA court never saw the more salacious aspects of the dossier. “The salacious video and all that stuff that was not part of the FISA applications, only the parts pertained to Carter Page. And there was corroboration of some of those very important elements,” Mr. Schiff, California Democrat, explained on CNN.
Republicans released a memo Friday, drafted by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, California Republican, regarding the use of an unverified dossier to gather surveillance warrants on some members of Mr. Trump’s campaign team, including former adviser Carter Page.
Mr. Schiff, the ranking member on the committee, said the FISA court — which hears cases for those seeking surveillance warrants — was well aware of the political bias of Christoper Steele, the former British spy who composed the dossier.
“I think the FISA court was made well aware of the potential political bias of those supporting Christopher Steele’s work,” he said.

Well of course they did not show the salacious part. If the judge had seen that part, he would have known that it was not trustworthy, so they kept that under wraps.

And the Steele dossier included “corroborative” information already in the General public

And the dossier makes very clear that the information was obtained from Russian agents, which shows what a liar Hillary Clinton is. She said she had no idea that the information came from Russians. All you have to do is read it. And she spent an awful lot of time talking about this for someone who’s never read it.
If the judge had seen that stuff, he would have known the whole thing was tabloid-class creative writing at best.

They only sought a warrant when it looked like Trump could actually win, and they had to cover their tracks

Tossed them ALL under the bus. It means they didn’t give the Judge all of the dossier, just what they picked and chose. It also means he’s claiming that he has leaked information that none of the others have.
If this is true, it’s much worse for FBI/DOJ that what we’ve known to date. It speaks to intent to deceive. The FBI knowingly excised the “salacious” part - depriving the court of its fiduciary obligation to query the petitioner to ensure the evidence is not a proffer ex nihilo.
Carter Page is a goofball, but being a goofball is not a crime. He was a patsy. If the FBI really did what Schiff is claiming, a laundry list of potential civil rights violations occurred. Notably, deprivation of rights under color or law.
