(Reuters) - Democrats won a Missouri special election on Tuesday for a state house seat in a district that President Donald Trump won in a landslide victory during the presidential election.

The win in Missouri was the latest for the Democrats who have ridden an anti-Trump wave to several special election victories in areas around the country, including in races in Wisconsin and Alabama.

However, Republicans easily won three other state house seats in Missouri on Tuesday and still have a super majority, the ability to override a governor’s veto - in the chamber.

Democratic Mike Revis defeated Republican David Linton by 3 points for the District 97 state representative seat in the Missouri House, a district Trump won by 28 points, according to the Missouri Secretary of State website and the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.

Since Trump’s inauguration, Democrats have flipped 35 contested seats, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee said in a statement.

Hubbies have plenty of money. Social media is available to all. Pubbies are lazy about politics.

Results: 10% of Republicans vote, 20% of Dems vote - Dems win...but it doesn’t mean crap regarding the mood of the voters.

Actually yes it does. It shows that Republicans are apathetic and perhaps feeling "fat and happy" now that they got Trump in. They probably think their work is done for another four years.

There is no excuse for "sitting out" elections.

There is also no excuse for "not knowing" about a special election in your area.

People better wake up.

I looked it up on MO’s State website.

The turnout was

R: 1679
D: 1787

Right-to-work is a big issue in that area. Many residents are former Chrysler workers.

The Dems are trying to lay blame at the feet of Greitens, claiming voters rejected the Republican due to Greiten’s salacious affair.

Dems are just so dirty.

Funny.....

That District encompasses parts of Jefferson County... Arnold and Fenton included. Tons of blue collars in that area.

108 votes won it..... you don’t think that’s backlash from Right To Work?
