That’s common. The North is way more racially segregated than the South. I’ve lived in both places. Boston is the most racist city in the US.

Same with Florida. The State House is 65% Republican and the State Senate Republicans hold 23 out of 40 seats.
Boston is not in a “purplish” state.
Really? I have family in the area and have been in Boston more times than I can count. Be Black and walk through Southie or the North End at night. Be White and walk through Roxbury and Mission Hill. How many Black live out on the Cape? How many Blacks on the T headed to Government center. Who fought busing the hardest? Watch Louise Day Hicks commercials. There are very few cities in the South that don’t have mixed cities.
As a lifetime California resident & homeowner I have made 3 trips to Oregon/Nevada looking for a home recently.
I know those are not ‘conservative’ states but they are not nearly as bad as CA and I would like to be within driving distance due to family.
I fit right in with rural Oregon/Nevada folks.

I’ve been thinking seriously about simplifying my life. Wonder how much money you can make returning trucks to blue states from red states.
Better yet, just put the illegals and opiod addicted addicts in the back for a small fee. They all wanna find the mecca of Seattle, San Fran, Portland, Los Angeles...
I grew up believing the TV’s portrayal of Louisiana as the most backward, ignorant, racist state in the U.S. After visiting other states up north and seeing, and overhearing things, I can truly say there is racism in all of the states, but the South is the only area that gets blamed for it. I have heard comments from Pennsylvanians, Washingtonians, New Yorkers (upstate), that I hadn’t heard for 20 years in Louisiana. Take the log out of your own eye first, Yankees.
Aren’t Nevada and Oregon blue states too? You would move from one blue state to another. I don’t know if that would make any difference.

You mentioned Cape Cod-———maybe blacks just don’t want to live there-——and what on earth does that have to do with Boston?
Busing and LD Hicks is going back 40-45 years-———Boston has undergone significant changes since then,as has most of the country.
Stating that Boston is the most racist city in the USA is a gross exaggeration.

The exodus of liberals and their attempt to then change the place they move to gives us great insight to the liberal mind.
The arrogance and ignorance of these people is astounding. They can not or will not admit it was their own political beliefs that ruined their home state. Will not see that their own political beliefs forced them to move.
I have had conversations with New England liberals who have moved to South Carolina and ‘ from away ‘ liberals in Maine.
Not one of them can rationally see or will admit why they had to leave their own state. But they will talk about how much needs to be done to ‘ fix ‘ the state they moved to. They get involved with school boards, local politics and so on because they know what’s best for one and all.
Maine was once a very Republican state and has been ruined by liberals who moved there since the 1970s. Maine is a complete mess and it’s not going to change any time soon.

and PS: expect more and more Massholes to show up in your state. The cost of living especially housing is sky rocketing with no end in sight.
Middle class people who once made up large parts of Boston’s neighborhoods are vanishing.
towns and cities bordering Boston have become extremely expensive.
Colorado and North Carolina will eventually go firmly blue.
Not sure any of this is something to celebrate.... Look at what’s happened to New Hampshire.
Boston’s AA population is 24.4%
Boise’s is 1.5%
Denver’s is 10.2%
Atlanta’s is 54%
But Southerners aren’t being lectured by folks in Boise or Atlanta about race relations. It’s coming from those folks living in “liberal” cities and that states that don’t have Black folks around. The irony of Joe Kennedy III lecturing America on race, when he lives in Newton, MA that has a AA population of 2.5% is what I am referring to. Liberals like Kennedy can push their liberal philosophies on race and government on the rest of us, because they never have to live with the consequences of their actions.
