Sessions could still be conducting a house-cleaning at at DOJ and FBI without having recused himself, and without allowing Rosenstein to set in motion a soft-coup by appointing Mueller. That whole part to this soap opera was completely unnecessary. In fact, its a distraction that is slowing the whole discovery process.
It was, and is, a huge risk to Trump, and I see no “3D Chess” being played here. Just stupidity or naiveté or possibly something more devious.

I suppose people think Sessions should be out in the open, telegraphing his every move, giving these demons all his files, giving them all the discovery they want so they can continue to lie, cheat, steal and spin. It is so easy to armchair quarterback. Wait and see before condemning when we can’t know what Attorney General Sessions knows. It takes time to build cases for indictment and imprisonment. This criminal cabal has had years and years to play fast and loose with OUR GOVERNMENT. Give him time to do what needs to be done. Holy crap Trump, Sessions, Flynn, Nunes, etc., have been nuked for over a year by the freaking leftists, media and rinos. Maybe we the base could offer some needed support. Now wonder good guys rarely run for office with this type of support.
Sessions has been stonewalling the requests for action by the Nunes committee for 6 months. That's a fact.
Two important considerations:
1. Making an airtight case that gets all the bad actors, with the max possible.
2. The biggest bombs strategically timed for Sep/Oct, for max electoral impact - not unethical if it is true.

Why? In addition to the turnover and reassignments in the FBI & DOJ, also because the President, not one to be trifled with, has not replaced Sessions with say, the current EPA head Scott Pruitt.
Pruitt, a former OK atty general, has already been Senate confirmed and thus could assume the AG post immediately - if Trump wished it.
No, I think the Sessions DOJ (and FBI) is moving right along with their investigative and case work.
AND they are doing it without leaks.
The media supposed friction between the President, Sessions and Wray is instead an effective ploy of misdirection.

Yes, only a very lousy tactician would telegraph his moves enough to allow his progress to be observable even to the general public. And I’m not talking about “3D chess” either, I’m talking about basic entry level game theory for ANY strategy.
Telegraphing one’s moves is a sure way to lose in anything.
The Sessions haters on FR are either:
1) fools who know nothing about strategy, and believe that draining of the swamp is something they can look up the score of by reading the number of indictments reported by the MSM each week, or...
2) anti-Trump trolls who are here to discourage Trump supporters by saying he’s appointed losers, is powerless to fire them and is therefore losing the battle.
Not really anger, more like disappointment. I hope I’m wrong and Jeff is busy indicting felons from the doj & fbi behind the scenes and getting ready to drop the hammer on Uranium One and the klintoons, but I’ll need to see it.

Whatever his flaws, Jeff Sessions has kept his promise to crack down on illegal immigration and go after sanctuary cities. The idiots on this forum who get all warm and fuzzy thinking about replacing Sessions with New York or New Jersey liberals like Rudy Giuliani or Chris Christie basically want open borders advocates in place of one of the few immigration hawks we have.
