“What will be different then? I don’t mean to be argumentative, but it just doesn’t sound good to me, a novice, that the r’s keep losing seats they once held.”

Well, for starters, the midterms haven’t been a focus yet except for the political junkies. I’m certainly not happy about the recent losses, but the Dems are spending on these special elections to rally their base for this fall. Despite their non-stop campaign to convince the entire nation that everybody hates Trump, they have to spend outrageous sums of money to keep their narrative intact. If their message were true, these elections wouldn’t cost them a ton of cash. Turnout is typically depressingly low for many of these elections that Ds are winning. Even a modicum of motivation on the other side could translate into a win.

Next, the Democrats have a *massive* amount of money to spend on their Senate races. States like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota are in play. They’re not exactly swimming in loot these days ... Hillary wiped them out and they haven’t been raking in much in the way of donations. Couple that with their need to win over 20 House seats ... they’re looking at having to spend a staggering amount of money they don’t have.

As we get closer, the media will be covering the midterms and people on our side will start to get motivated. I’m hoping Trump gets out there to rally the troops as he’s the most effective spokesman we have today. Moreover, the RNC *MUST* get behind the winners of the primaries regardless of them being blessed by party leaders.

There are things happening that I don’t like ... namely the scummy way the Dems are going to gerrymander PA right before the election to pick up three US House seats this fall ... however, so long as we get people motivated to go out there and vote, we will maintain the House majority and make some significant gains in the Senate.

It is legitimately far too early to get worked up or, my favorite word on Free Republic from 2016, “concerned” :-). It is an eternity from now until this fall in a political sense. I wish we would continue stomping the Dems just to demoralize them, but we are doing very well at the state level ... our focus must be on national elections this year.

The Democrats are now the Party of full blown Communism who have no respect for the Constitution or the Rule of Law.

To a man they have no problem using the Government against Private Citizens and Political Opponents when they are in power.

God help us if they win back Congress this year and the White House in 2020. They don’t even try to hide their agenda, and there are obviously doing something to get their Supporters, Legal and Illegal to the Polls.

You may have a point about talk radio. Here in Wisconsin we have decent conservative radio coverage. But we had an early January election for a state senate seat that most didn’t know about because it wasn’t covered.. My policy though is not to comment about any election result where I’m not from or have any knowledge of the local issues or how the candidates conducted the race.

Question: how many special elections have we had overall. What is the win loss record? It seems to me that we only hear about these when the democrat wins.

Good got a ton of national figure support. Where was Romney? Where was Bush? Heck, where were the also-rans of 2016? Rick Scott and Vern Buchanan are *not* national figures, no matter what the article says.

https://www.yourobserver.com/article/house-district-72-special-election-fundraising
National figures have also played a role in turning out voters. Earlier this month, Good’s campaign received a public endorsement from former Vice President Joe Biden. Former Maryland governor and presidential candidate Martin O’Malley has also endorsed Good and joined other Florida Democrats in recent days campaigning in the district on her behalf.

Buchanan has also received support from national figures, including Gov. Rick Scott and his father, Vern Buchanan, who represents Sarasota in the U.S. House of Representatives. Last weekend Corey Lewandowski, President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, headlined a rally in Sarasota designed to support Buchanan’s race for the state house.

What everyone need to know is that South Saint Petersburg has been becoming a predominately negro area except for the waterway condo’s and Tiera Verda Isles.

No. If we don’t take responsibility for getting our people out then it’s our fault.

Ronna is mostly invisible on TV. She rarely reacts to the constant attacks on the President by the media or by celebrities. Most of that direct front line fighting is saved for Sarah Sanders, Nikki Haley and Kelly Anne.
They could always use some help.

Definitely agree with your assessment.
The RNC must have some leadership to rebut the endless smear tactics against our great President as well as champion all of his marvelous accomplishments.

The most effective voice is that of Press Secretary Sarah Sanders who is excellent at putting the rabid dog press in their proper place.

We’ve lost 32 elections so far since the 2016 election where democrats flipped the republican seats. We flipped 1 Dems seat to gop. That is including every election from state to federal. Not included are seats that stayed the same party. You don’t hear seats we kept or Dems kept because that’s not really a victory.

The previous rep butted heads with Republican leadership in Tallahassee and was very unhappy. She has her own business as well, so she jumped ship. She's a good looker, too.

Buchanan was a terrible candidate whose only recognition came from his father. Naturally, our local Pravda made it known in every issue that this was nepotism run amok and that the kid is running because "he thinks he's entitled." It's that narrative that really turned people off him. He didn't help himself by refusing to debate until the polls showed him behind. His only issue was that his opponent was for sanctuary cities. There are so many more issues but his whole campaign appeared to be that Margaret Good was someone who would make Sarasota a sanctuary city.

The left holds pussy hat marches across the bridge every other month that attracts thousands so, yeah, they are highly motivated. Republicans stayed home and this is the result. The net effect on the State House will be negligible.

Watch the LIVE VOTE RETURNS.
IF THE LIVE VOTE COUNT TOTALS START GOING DOWN, YOU KNOW "FRACTION MAGIC" IS BEING USED !

DemocRATS will NEVER leave elections in the hands of the voters again, after Trump won !

STEALING ELECTIONS WITH COMPUTERS and Technology Cybercrimes, watch Bloomberg's Digital Defense November 3, 2016 (19:40).

To better understand "THE MASTER KEY" to stealing elections with computers, watch:
I'LL NEVER TRUST ANOTHER COMPUTER COUNTED ELECTION AGAIN !

Things have changed!

Bennie Smith, a Memphis computer programmer, discovered HOW this is done through aDiebold Election Systems changed its name in 2006 to Premier Election Solutions.
Bloomberg's article titled How to Protect Against Election Day Hacking gives more proof of this by Memphis computer programmer Bennie Smith.

We’ve lost 32 elections so far since the 2016 election where democrats flipped the republican seats.

This past November, the GOP here in Virginia had a comfortable 18 majority in the General Assembly here in Virginia.

Now, I know Virginia is somewhat of an anomaly because of the Swamp influence (I know, I've been here since '91 and have seen the state go from dark red to dark blue).

Back to the point, after election day this past November, the GOP now only has a 1 seat majority. Some of those seats we lost were in comfortable GOP areas outside the swamp area. But, I've have been reassured by "optimistic" folks here that we will be OK come November 2018, and may even pick up a seat or two.

That may be true, but 1.) I think the GOP is vastly underestimating the hatred of Trump and zeal of the dems to vote against Trump. The MSM spends 24 hours a day to whip them up into a frenzy. 2.) I'm really hoping the spying and bogus Russian investigation will come to a head soon, so people can see the Truth before November.
