Venezuelans reported losing on average 11 kilograms (24 lbs) in body weight last year and almost 90 percent now live in poverty, according to a new university study on the impact of a devastating economic crisis and food shortages. The annual survey, published on Wednesday by three universities, is one of the most closely-followed assessments of Venezuelans’ well being amid a government information vacuum and shows a steady rise in poverty and hunger in recent years.

I’ve known a few leftists from Venezuela for many years, who used to boast of their country’s cheap gas and economic success.
Now, like Big Media, they push gun control.

In other news, reports from North Korea that something is afflicting the country’s trees - bark, from the lower portions of millions of tree trunks, are going missing.
Everyone’s doing it except the inner circle of the central party committee. They are special as they need to steer the survivors into utopia.
This is terrible and the type of crisis Hollywood usually jumps into.
Maybe Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore could organize it and be the faces of the movement.
