Columnist Michael Gerson and commentator Amy Holmes are teaming to start a conservative-oriented talk show on PBS...
The new show, In Principle, will air Friday nights starting April 13. PBS will decide after an eight-week run whether to continue.
The hosts plan to interview two guests each show, hoping for an in-depth discussion on issues and their formative political experiences. No guests have been announced yet, but Gershon said hed like to discuss issues like race, gun control and whether conservatism is the right message for the working class.

Program should be interesting. "Conservatives" on PBS?
Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Friday nights? LOL...
In as much as Trump may just cut the taxpayer subsidy... is PBS doing this out of fear?
Pathetic attempt to keep the federal dollars coming in.
Well, William F Buckley did have a show on PBS as well back in the day. But I’m afraid these so-called conservatives are more in the mold of Nicole Wallace then Mr. Buckley I guess we’ll see or not!
George Will? Bill Kristol? David Brooks? David Frum? Strong advocates of Conservative positions just slightly to the Left of Trotsky? Is that the plan?
David Brooks to moderate?
I wouldn’t trust ‘em as far as I could throw ‘em.
My first thought also.
Gerson was one of W’s speechwriters and is a known Never Trumper and a RINO.
It’s almost reflexive to distrust PBS’ motives based upon their record, but my first reaction was that it’s a sign of the times.
Michael Gerson is no way, shape, manner or form a conservative. He’s a never Trumper moron perhaps just a bit less obnoxious than David Brooks.
Yep, hes a NEVER TRUMPER big time.
George Will? Bill Kristol? David Brooks? David Frum?

Bush League Republicans are NOT conservatives.
They like to play them on TV, though.
You beat me to it. A bunch of pseudo conservatives on a network dominated by real liberals. I do watch the Mark Maxishields and David Schnookes segment and David Brookes Schnookes is NO conservative by any stretch.
“REVENGE OF THE GOPE!”
Ditto, here as well.
Lemme guess, hosts will be in the David Brooks “conservative” mold. And, this show will only last as long as Republicans hold Congress and the coast is clear of any possible funding cuts.
My first thought as well. Afraid they will lose their fed $s so they are throwing something up on the wall to see if they can keep the $ that way.
