A manhunt is underway for a gunman who fatally shot two people inside a Michigan university dorm building early Friday morning.
Mount Pleasant officials are searching for James Eric Davis, Jr., a 19-year-old black man who opened fire inside Campbell Hall at Central Michigan University around 8:30 a.m. Police described the shooting as a “family-type domestic issue.”

I used to wonder about that but then I realized they are probably on file with the Department of Motor Vehicles for drivers licenses and now most schools also take ID photos. One or the other seems to be easily obtainable if not a bit outdated.

My God ... universities need to ban the practice of parents picking up their children from school on spring break. This tradegy could have been prevented by this simple, common-sense step! /s

Blame CNN who continued to glorify the last shooter for weeks, for inspiring this next loser looking for notoriety.
That’s really sad. I guess he had some drug episode last night (Thursday night) and after they released him from the hospital, his parents came down to pick him up and he killed them. Horrible.

The whole AR-15 narrative is to incrementally ban ALL guns. Note that there was no AR here, as was the Virginia Tech shooter (two handguns) and he killed more people that any other school mass shooting.... (32?), the biggest school body count going to a bomb in the early 1900s in Bath MI with over 50 dead...
So if we can’t blame the gun or specific gun, then we need to blame the individual responsible, and keep the guns out of those troubled people, and ‘harden’ the soft targets, just as we all knew.
